Hi! My name is Gloria, I’m 33 years old and I come from Pordenone, Italy.

I consider myself a sunny, empathetic, creative, and organized person. Throughout my life, I’ve gained a variety of practical experiences thanks to my family and the environment I grew up in: I have cared for animals (especially pets), assisted elderly people, done babysitting, cooked for my family, and taken care of household chores.

I would love to offer my help with animal care and looking after the surrounding environment, in projects that allow me to live close to nature, people, and the local culture.

I have never done an experience like this before, but I truly believe that what matters most is motivation, not age or experience.

Recently, I have become interested in Buddhist culture, and I’m eager to deepen my understanding and experience it in a concrete way — perhaps through a Workaway opportunity that allows me to learn mindfulness, meditation practices, and a simpler, more harmonious way of living with the environment.

I feel a strong need to reconnect with myself through travel, shared work, and human exchange.

I would like to be involved in daily activities while also having some independence to explore and experience the culture of the host country.

I speak Italian and have a basic knowledge of English, but I’m very motivated to improve it through real-world experience.

I’m going through a moment in my life where I don’t have many answers, only many questions. And to start finding those answers, I’ve decided to leave.

The question that guides me the most right now is:
"Ten years from now, which decision will I regret the least?"

I know the answer is: not staying still. Not stopping the search. Not giving up the journey.

I have experience caring for domestic animals, especially dogs and cats, to whom I am very attached.
I have also been involved in elderly care, babysitting, and household management (cleaning, cooking, organization).

In the past, I worked as a General Manager, so I am used to organizing, planning, and working effectively in teams.
I gained experience in the field of sustainability, with a particular focus on HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).

I am an empathetic, patient, and reliable person, capable of working both independently and in a team.
I enjoy learning new practical and cultural skills and am highly motivated to improve my language skills, especially English.

I am interested in work related to animal care, sustainable agriculture, ecology, and daily activities that foster a harmonious and welcoming environment.

I love painting, creating with my hands, and expressing my creativity.
I do a lot of sport and I like staying active, whether outdoors or in simple, natural environments.

I care about living a healthy and balanced lifestyle, especially when it comes to food.

I'm also very interested in topics like personal growth, spirituality, sustainability, and wellbeing.
