Beschreibung

Hi everyone!
My name is Gaia, I’m 23 years old and I come from a little town near Rome called Bracciano, surrounded by nature and a beautiful lake, where I grew up climbing trees and walking barefoot on the flowers. I’m also half Danish, so I’ve been lucky to grow up between two cultures, which really opened my mind and made me curious about the world from a young age.

I just graduated in Sociology at "Sapienza University" in Rome, and I love traveling, meeting new people, and discovering new ways of living. During my studies I spent a year in Lisbon for Erasmus (a city I now call my second home), and when I was 17 and 19 I had the chance to volunteer in Uganda in a hospital for children with disabilities, an experience that left a deep mark on me.

What draws me to Workaway is the chance to exchange, learn, and grow, not just by discovering new places, but also by sharing everyday life with people from different backgrounds, furthermore I think it gives the possibility to discover new interests also in the field of works and to discover ourselves better. I’m a very social, positive and open-minded person, always up with an idea or a new experience to live.

I have experienced the volunteer work in a hospital where I had to stay with children, in fact I'm very good of interacting with them; I also worked in a restaurant, so I learned how to manage many situations in a short time. Furthermore I am good at cooking, in particular cakes.

I love drawing and art in general, in fact I often go to museums; I enjoy very much listening to music and taking pictures with my camera. Furthermore I like walking ,specially in the nature.
