Hello everyone,
I’m Gaetano from Paestum, a beautiful town in southern Italy.
I’m a lawyer, but I decided to leave my job and career behind to explore the world and connect with different people and cultures. In September 2024, I left Italy to travel across Central and South America with just my backpack and surfboard. After spending five months in Costa Rica, riding my motorbike from one end of the country to the other, I’m now traveling through Colombia.
Surfing has been a transformative experience for me, leading me to discover more about nature, people, and even myself. Through this journey, I hope to continue learning and growing alongside others.
I’m open-minded and have traveled extensively for study, work, and pleasure, always eager to learn new languages, especially English and Spanish. I’m also a skilled cook and bartender, and I love sharing good music and listening to people’s experiences.
I hope to meet more and more people and build new great friendships, just like the ones I am making.

Soy Gaetano, de Paestum, un hermoso pueblo en el sur de Italia.
Soy abogado, pero decidí dejar atrás mi trabajo y mi carrera para explorar el mundo y conectar con diferentes personas y culturas. En septiembre de 2024, salí de Italia para viajar por Centro y Sudamérica con solo mi mochila y mi tabla de surf. Después de pasar cinco meses en Costa Rica, recorriendo el país de un extremo a otro en mi moto, ahora estoy viajando por Colombia.
El surf ha sido una experiencia transformadora para mí, permitiéndome descubrir más sobre la naturaleza, las personas e incluso sobre mí mismo. A través de este viaje, espero seguir aprendiendo y creciendo junto a los demás.
Soy una persona de mente abierta y he viajado mucho por estudios, trabajo y placer, siempre con ganas de aprender nuevos idiomas, especialmente inglés y español. También soy un buen cocinero y bartender, y disfruto compartir buena música y escuchar las experiencias de otras personas.
Espero conocer cada vez más personas y formar nuevas y buenas amistades, al igual que las que estoy haciendo.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have studied away from my hometown since I was 18. During my studies, I spent time abroad in countries such as Norway, Belgium, and the United States. After graduating, I began working as a lawyer and researcher at the university, and then for the Italian Ministry of Justice, which was my last job before embarking on this journey. Beyond my professional experience, I have developed strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work in teams, and learned how to manage my emotions in high-pressure work and psychological situations. I have led work teams and assisted and saved people at sea, as I have also worked as a lifeguard. For fun, I enjoy cooking and bartending.
