Hello everyone, we are Francesca and Jyl, we both love travelling and connecting with people, and since we also love one another we said "Hey, this is cool, let's do it together!".

In 2022 we have built a project that involves travelling, photography, writing and, of course, meeting people: there is a space in everyone's life where diversity is a precious resource, where everyone is invited to share, where judgement melts into understanding and respect: in it we tell these stories, we want to harvest this energy and make it echo through our writing and photography so that other people can, hopefully, open their eyes and their heart. › Thishumantribe.com

But, as you know, the best stories come from the depth of our souls, not from sitting on the side-line and observing: that is why we want to put ourselves out there, travel with purpose, respectfully and humbly learning about food, nature, culture, spirituality and, most importantly, learn about others.

Art, nature, philosophy, literature, music, and, of course, people, are the greatest sources of inspiration for us.

We believe in fairness, we believe in responsibility and openness, we believe in compassion and togetherness as medicine for these dark times we are collectively going through.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Francesca here, I am a copywriter, I create original content for websites, travel agencies, bookstores, cultural events.
Blog posts, articles, but also editorial strategy, marketing and social media: I can definitely help with your online presence.
I speak and write mostly in English and Italian, I can translate from and to either language and I will happily help anyone who wants to learn. I am also fluent in French, but as you may know, French grammar was passed down by the aliens and it's quite difficult to master (still working on it).

I am fairly good and also enjoy very much cooking, talking to plants, spending time with kids and animals, cutting women's hair (no sexism here, just lack of practice. If you trust me with your skull I promise I'll be careful), I can sew, draw, play guitar, ukulele and sing.

Jyl here, for 25 years I’ve been working as a graphic designer (Indesign, photoshop) and photographer (landscape, events, people, products). I used to work in advertisement until I realized that I wanted to be part of the solution, actively contributing to try and make this world a better place, so I turned to NGOs such as Greenpeace and B-corps such as The Skateroom to work with people and for causes that really matter to me.

Cooking has a special place in my life, I love turning ingredients into healthy, delicious meals, I enjoy making things from scratch (wait until you taste my sourdough bread!), as much as learning new techniques and cooking styles. Food is one of many ways I show people I care.

This past year I’ve been delving into studying sacred geometry and drawing mandalas and yantras, which has given me new perspectives and enjoyment; I’d love to be able to paint one on a bigger surface, so if you have a wall that is feeling a bit empty I can fill it with something beautiful and meaningful.
Bonuses: I have great organisational skills, I’m good with cats, kids and people in general. We could create a better world if we’d all share our knowledge, so if anything you read speaks to you, I’d be glad to tell you what I learned.

Love sports, music, writing, culture.

Francesca:
I love reading and, over the years, I collected quite a library of books. I was also a bookseller for 10 years and I had my own bookstore :)
I also enjoy frisbee (very much), volleyball and rollerskating.

Jyl:
I love to walk in city that I don't know with my camera, have weird conversation while sharing tea, I've practicing yoga and will do my YTT in Pokhara in October 2026.

  Francesca here, unfortunately, I'm allergic to pistachio, cajou nuts and camomille. The good news is it's not deadly so people around me don't have to worry too much!

  Spezielle Ernährung
  We are usually easy going and on the healthy side, we like to eat whatever is traditional or available in the place we travel.. Francesca eats fish from time to time but no meat, Jyl is more flexitarian, he likes to taste and discover new dishes.
