Hi there, I'm Franca :)

I'm from Germany and after currently finishing my Bachelor's degree in nutritional science, I am more than ready to explore the world, meet new people and get to know new cultures!

I love all things sports, food, animals and having good times with nice people. I'm always open to new and exciting experiences, but love chilled days and calm surroundings as well!
As of my character, my friends would probably describe me as very nice (and polite), calm, joyful and open :)

This is my first time using Workaway and I'm exciting to see what it has in store for me. My plans so far (as of September 2023), are to work and travel for the first 6 months of 2024. I currently speak English fluently and Spanish (B1), and would love to learn new languages on my way.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I did horse riding for 12 years of my life and therefore absolutely adore being around animals (I really, really love dogs!) and working outside and in stables.
Last year I also discovered my love for gardening and plants, which makes me eager to learn even more about everything plant- and crops-related :)

I'd definitely say I'm weatherproof, hard-working, open to learning new skills and always find joy in the little things :)

During my short carrer (school, uni and internships) I had the pleasure to simultaneously teach younger kids that needed help in school. English, German, biology and chemistry were my favourite subjects to teach throughout. By teaching, I discovered my joy for working with young people and kids, as well as how much fun it is to create and explore creative ways of learing!

As of my own academic achievements I am proud to have successfully finished a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Science.
Through several internships that followed in different parts of the food industry and catering, I developed a strong ability to organize, solve problems, communicate and (somehow) to be creative.

I really, really like doing things with my hands, especially when it comes to building, renovating, fixing or doing arts and crafts! Whenever something needs to be painted, repared or changed, I love to positively chime in and -since I do lack professional knowledge- find literally any way to finish the task :)

To also improve my social skills and have a wonderful time during my journey, I would prefer to work with people that are non-judgemental and open minded :)
