Beschreibung

We are a married couple who are travelling to Japan to try and see and experience as much as we can, and are eager to meet new people along the way! We have been together for 8 years, and originally met and worked together for many seasons at an outdoor centre in the UK. We love being outside and aren’t afraid to get stuck in with a whole range of tasks, we have experience in working a variety of different rolls from hospitality, admin, farm work, outdoor instruction and retail. We are looking for seasonal work that allows us to experience living and working in wonderful places, to see incredible landscapes and immerse ourselves in new cultures.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We have both worked in hospitality and/or the tourism sector for over 10 years, and have built a variety of expertise, both practical and soft skills, that we are able to utilise across a multitude of roles and scenarios.



Hospitality Skills:
- Taking and serving food and drinks orders
- Assisting with kitchen prep and clean up
- Use of a variety of booking and till systems
- Cash handling

People Skills:
- 8 years each of instructing experience for guests from all over the world
- Experience working both as part of larger teams to achieve common goals, and independently, responsible for both guest safety and enjoyment
- Staff management training and experience
- Crisis management training and experience
- Interpersonal conflict resolution training and experience

Practical Skills:
- Each hold full driving licences, with 10+ years driving experience
- Experience in driving farm vehicles and snowmobiles
- Each hold valid 2 day outdoor first aid certificates
- Confident in the use of power tools and chainsaws
- Basic landscaping
- Basic DIY
- Comfortable and experienced in caring for animals (both pets and farm animals)

Was noch ...

We love spending our time doing sports and activities outside, but for cosy evenings in we are always up for a board game or two, (Catan is a favourite!)
We have loved our previous workaway experiences because they have enabled us to meet a variety of people from all over the world, and both share our skills and hobbies with them, as well as learn new things along the way. We love to share our passions for the outdoors and outdoor activities with others, so are always up for a few ski runs or a fun day hike with likeminded people!
