Beschreibung

Hello, my name is Finn, I’m 26 years old and I come from the beautiful Allgäu region in southern Germany.

In my free time, I love traveling with my VW bus – sometimes just for one night, sometimes for a long weekend, and sometimes for several months.

At first, I would describe myself as a bit shy, but I open up quickly when I feel comfortable. I’m a good listener, I like to laugh, and I really enjoy meeting new people. I like children and animals.

After school, I completed an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic. Afterwards, I worked for a large company where I repaired and overhauled aircraft parts. After a while, the work became too boring for me and i needed a new adventure, so in 2024 I quit my job and traveled to Portugal with my bus to make my first Workaway experiences. There I met many wonderful people and had a great time.

When I returned home after almost three months, I realized that I wanted to work with wood. Over the past year, I worked in a carpentry company and improved my skills in woodworking and timber construction. I would love to continue doing this kind of work while traveling.

There is always something to do on my bus as well. Whether it’s removing rust, welding, or repairing and replacing different parts – even though it can sometimes be frustrating, I still really enjoy it. And if I ever get stuck, there’s usually a YouTube video that helps :)

Another goal during my travels is to improve my English skills by speaking and communicating in daily life.

Nothing is impossible – and things can always be worse.
