Beschreibung

I grew up traveling. It started with small adventures with my mom when I was a little kid. Then came the big move from Poland to Canada. After that, it was pure curiosity about the world and a desire to discover. I always knew that there was something more outside of a concrete jungle, LOL.

Travel for me is, learning, accepting, and becoming aware of how awesome life really is.

Over the last couple of years, I got into yachting and sailing and working on and fixing sailboats and catamarans. It helped me to develop a DIY mentality.

I was a yachty for a year but that was not the life for me.

Before discovering sailing I worked as an actor and English teacher in a big city. Although rewarding, I wanted to see what else was out there and I simply fell in love with water and working with my hands. I still love teaching and theatre and am open to opportunities with NGOs that could benefit from my skills.

My current goal is to find a sailing community and develop my boat construction and sailing knowledge in order to one day (in 3 years) be able to do a sailboat refit on my own and work as a charter fleet manager or broker.

Hoping to apply my skills and gain new ones through opportunities I find on Workaway.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I studied Theatre in Canada and worked as an actor and English teacher in Europe. In between gigs, I worked as a rope access window-cleaner and Wildland Fire Fighter. I have first aid certification, experience with various tools.
In 2017 a friend persuaded me to the yachting industry. Working on boats taught me painting, carpentry, and all-around maintenance.
I have a passion for martial arts and fitness. Currently, I'm training boxing and Muy-thai. Strong Body, strong heart.

Because of my love of fitness and the outdoors, I was often hired as a personal trainer. I organized group workout sessions on the beach in Florida. I love to write and read all sorts of Nonfiction books. I love chess and Scrabble. Scrabble especially in the languages I don't speak to often - like Polish and German. I'm also passionate about cooking and learning different dishes.
