Hello, my name is Emilio, I originally come from Italy and I've been living and working in Austria for about 9 years now. I work here as a medical doctor, after some years in hospitals I decided that was not the setting for me and am now working with people with an alcohol addiction.

I am currently on a gap year until March 2023 and am very looking forward to make it an adventure, feel like I need the break to rediscover and explore. I was about to do it three years ago but then I decided to accept my last job, now I really hope expecially to be able to work with animals and in nature.

Besides work, I enjoy making music and playing concerts with my band (local indie-folk band here in Vienna), producing electronic music and DJing, playing videogames, exploring nature, cooking (especially making Neapolitan pizza, so crazy about it that I bought my own pizza oven :P ).

Although I might have defined myself as shy when growing up, I think many people would describe me as the opposite, once they get to know me. I really value straightforward, honest and authentic connections.

I am very looking forward to the experiences that I'll hopefully manage to make through workaway.

- Cooking: stereotypical Italian here, who loves to cook :P
- Tech: I am pretty tech savvy and especially with computers
- I love DIY projects around the house and generally enjoy problem solving, fixing things, especially precise handiwork
- I would generally describe myself as very responsible and independent when it comes to work
- I can make music, if that ever should be needed :P
- Medical help: I am a general practitioner, in case that should ever come in handy
