Hello peeps! My name is Elliott :)
I love and live for design, craft, nature, wellbeing & movement!
For the past 10 years I’ve been studying and working in the architecture industry, currently working as a landscape and play designer for a small practice in London. We have shaped some amazing spaces which aim to connect people to nature and each other, enhance wellbeing and encourage joy and wonder (amongst other things).
At home, I enjoy decorating and gardening… my landlord selling has cut my garden landscaping project short but I made some good progress. I’ve been teaching myself how to make clothes, and recently embarked on learning how to draft clothing patterns from body measurements. And also have been reupholstering some furniture. Ultimately, my soul nourished with craft and making and I feel very much more suited to the physical act of making over just design.
And movement… I love to dance, practice yoga and lift weights mostly. I used to run too, but the pollution in London is too much for my lungs.
Although currently living in the big city, I grew up in the countryside not far from the seaside. Swimming in the sea, exploring nature, wild camping (or just sleeping under the stars) was all common place.
I am super keen to learn natural building techniques, landscaping, gardening and generally just expand my knowledge of how things are made and work! I enjoy my role in the city to an extent, but long for the physical creation of design over being sat behind a computer for most of my days. I would love to build my own house one day/

Landscape and architectural design.
- Landscape architecture design projects from concept to delivery
- Playground design projects, concept design, detailed design and delivery on site.
- Architectural design projects in varying scales. Some experience in detailed design. Some experience on site.
- Project lead experience; project management, design team meetings, coordination with suppliers/ subconsultants, project presentations to client and
- Project team experience on numerous projects; design work, project coordination etc.
-Engagement events & workshops with mostly young people.
- Computer aided design software: Vectorworks, Rhino 3D, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator...
- Sketching, diagrams, physical model making
Building Experience
- Volunteer building 3 classrooms for a project in Arbetenim, Ashanti Region, Ghana. Experience with rammed earth, timber louvres. This was designed and led by Italian architects and delivery led by local crafts people.
- Helped with the interior reconstruction of a terrace house in South England. Led by a semi-experienced builder, we rebuilt floors, ceilings, walls, and a staircase.
Gardening/ Landscape
- Worked as a gardener for a short time. Experience was predominantly in planting and preparation.
- Home gardening and landscaping; planting bed preparations, setting in stone blocks as edging.
Interior Works:
- Painting and decorating experience.
- DIY works
Masters degree in Architecture.
- Personal project which focused on opening up a historical London site as a public park and creating a
- Group project which began with research into the 15 minute city and city movement and transport. This manifested in pedestrianising a main London road and reshaping how the city's transport system worked
Teaching
- Leading engagement workshops/ sessions for architectural projects
- One on one tutoring at a charity school for SEN (special educational needs) School, GCSE maths, English and Science.
