If all my plans work out, I‘ll start travelling in October. I haven‘t figured out my route yet, perhaps starting in Austria and moving South to Italy … or starting in France, travelling to Portugal.

Beschreibung

Hi, I‘m Doro and thrilled to be part of the workaway family. I am sure that together we can make the world a better place - self-sufficient, with heart-to-heart-connections, in harmony with Earth, nature and their spirits.
I love travelling, learning new things, meeting people to talk, laugh, and have meaningful conversations in German or English so that we can connect on a deeper level. I like working in different fields, don‘t mind getting my hands dirty and am good at finding stuff to do by myself. It‘s in my nature to treat other‘s homes, pets, property, and belongings carefully and with respect.

I am open-minded, interested, caring, a nature-lover and hobby-gardener. I love animals and would like to learn horseriding some day.

Being and Connection with inspiring people is as important to me as having time by myself for reading, journaling, daydreaming, walking, sitting outside, Yoga, strolling along a beach/river/mountainside, doing yard work, …

I‘ve worked in different fields, like business assistant, teacher, mom-of-two, copywriter, psychological/marriage counselor and trainer for communication. I have lived in Omaha, Nebraska, for four years and in Belfast, Northern Ireland, for six months. I love philosophical discussions, hearty laughter and meaningful conversations as well as hands-on work and good food 😇

Was könntest du arbeiten?

✅ I love gardening and have experience in planting, tending to, pruning, and harvesting as well as mowing, weeding, and preparing the soil for planting.
✅ I grew up with animals: Sheep, chicken, ducks, rabbits, cats, bees, and a dog were my childhood companions. Yet, our animals were providers of meat/eggs/honey, so I learned to treat them with respect and thankfulness.
✅ I always loved starting campfires, helping with woodwork, building fences and sheds and generally helping my dad with everything he built or fixed.
✅ Lateron, I did my own projects like tearing down wallpaper and putting on new one, painting walls (I‘m rather good at that 😎), sanding and staining wood/wooden windows, laying tiles, … I‘m a good and neat worker and helper and learn fast, always eager to improve and expand my skills.
✅ I can write texts for your website, social media, handouts, or brochures as well as help you improve your rhetorical skills or prep you for holding a speech (in German).
✅ I’d love to help you structure your internet presence and professionally support you in the process of expressing your thoughts in a way that combines your heartfelt offer with what your potential customers want to know and read (in German or English).
✅ I also like singing and dancing, listening to music, could teach some German, help sort things out by listening and counceling, helping you find out who you are, what you want in life and how to love yourself.
✅ ah, not to forget: household chores/cooking/cleaning/tidying are self-understanding as I raised two kids. (I try to avoid ironing, if possible 😅)

Most of all, I can offer life experience, reliability, joy, happiness, companionship, good mood, thoughtful conversations, funny stories, and a deep longing for connection with people, nature and spirits ☮️

I adapt easily, am not spoiled, like to play (board)games, going out, dancing or just sitting outside on a warm summer night and watching the stars.
