Hi, I recently graduated from university, and now I'd like to take the time to experience a new way of traveling. I'd like to volunteer in Scotland or Spain to improve my Spanish from March 2026.

Beschreibung

Hello, my name is Coralie and I'm 23 years old. I recently graduated from the University of Brussels with a master degree in literature and languages. I'm fluent in English and French and have a intermediate level of Spanish. I'm passionate about traveling. Whenever I have time off from school or my student jobs, I like to go on trips on my own or with my friends to discover new places.
I'm on Workaway because I would like to take the opportunity to experience a new way of traveling by helping a local community and taking the time to live among them. I'm outgoing and I love to meet and exchange with new people from everywhere. I also like to share my Belgian culture and learn about other people's cultures. For example, at my home university, I'm an ESN volunteer (Erasmus Student Network). I organise events and trips for incoming Erasmus students and get to know them.
Moreover, I've been working since I was 15. Next to specific skills, my student jobs taught me responsibility, the importance of being reliable and taking initiative. I've worked as a cashier in a petrol station and in a supermarket, and I also assisted a caterer in events and in cooking classes. Before turning 18, I worked in a sandwich shop and I assisted gym classes for children.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm used to traveling by myself and with friends. I like planning. Last year, I was the trip manager of the Erasmus Student Network section of my university, so I'm used to organising day trips for big groups of students. I also got the opportunity to organise some events like ice skating or a Belgian Night.
I'm also used to traveling in hostels. During my interrail this summer or other trips, I got the occasion to discover how hostels work. I love the international atmosphere in hostels and the chance to make multicultural contacts.
Besides this social aspect of my personality, I also enjoy quiet times. I'm interested in literature and history. I especially love learning about the culture and history of the places I visit. I enjoy reading and writing (fortunately, given what I have studied).
I also love creative activities: painting, DIY, pottery and I've been sewing since my childhood.
Finally, I'm not the sportiest girl, but I like swimming and outdoor activities like hiking or cycling. I’ve also practiced yoga and pilates for several years and I love it. I could teach you a bit about it if you like.

Besides traveling and participating in social events with friends or friends-to-be, I also enjoy quiet times in nature. I would love to have the opportunity to develop this part of my personality and get the chance to live closer to nature and learn new skills, such as gardening, farm work, and animal care.
