We started our journey in August.
Beschreibung
Hi everyone.
Some years ago, we decided to travel to Scandinavia, when we would enter in a new stage of life. And now, after our children stand on their own two feet, time has come.
We have been to Denmark, Sweden and Norway several times before but only for a "short" time during the schoolholidays. It was the stunning landscape which always attracted us. And the Scandinavian way of life of course.
Now, things will be different.
In August we will leave our hometown and come to Norway. It is the beginning of our sabbatical. And if possible, we're going to stay for one year. That means, that we have plenty of time to "look and learn". We would like to enjoy the last days of summer, the colourful transition into autumn, we will also experience cold and darkness of the polar night, the return of spring, the midnight sun ...
Get to know eachother!
We would also like to meet people in their everyday life.
It will be our first experience with workaway but the principle sounds nice:Bord and lodging for work.
That seems to be a pretty good deal.
So, we're looking forward to help you with your projects, family, farmlife...
We both come from Freiburg, which is a town in the south of Germany
The region nearby is called „Black Forest“.
We work as a teacher for French and sports (Dorothea) and as a TV-journalist (Christof).
We‘ve several hobbies: especially sports and beeing creative.
We live in a house right next to the forest, with a small garden.
During our sabbatical, we will be traveling in our campervan (6 m, green, not white 😉)

Was könntest du arbeiten?
At our home in Germany we have a garden.
So of course we have experience with gardening and planting.
We love to work outside.
We could imagine to work with animals. (Dorothea has experiences with dogs and horses)
We cook a lot and like to host people. It´s not star cooking but it is tasty (we hope).
We are neither carpenters nor electricians but we are able to maintain a house and handle basic tools.
Both of us have a creative side and like to design things.
We are flexible, open minded and we are looking forward to new challenges.
We love nature and sports (hiking, mountainbiking, skiing)
