Hello there, my name is Charlotte, I'm 30 years old and from Berlin Germany.

As a very curious person, I find workaway is such an amazing possibility to learn about parts of local cultures. I am calm and easy going and not afraid of any type of work. As much as I love my city and my work as a Data Engineer for an NGO for climate neutrality, I also love and need to leave this behind from time to time to meet and learn from people outside my environment and to spend time more in nature and to work with my hands.

Some years ago I did workaway in Jordan for two months, in the desert Wadi Rum as well as in the capital Amman, and its one of my most favourite memories. I met so many great people and got such rich insights. I also lived in Finland and Spain and I am currently working in a very international team which I am really enjoying.

In my free time I would love to explore the nature, to spend time with animals, to learn basics of languages, to learn about culture and history, to hike and visit local sights, to learn new recipes, and much more.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

At home I am regularly working in our garden, and enjoyed farming work also in other workaway experiences. This includes also working with animals like feeding them or taking care of the sheds.

I volunteered several years for the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief where I was trained besides many other things in the use of tools and machinery (e.g., pumps, generators, chainsaws, etc.). Due to this experience I am not afraid of doing any kind of physical work like crafting things with wood etc.

As the oldest of five much younger siblings and also with tutoring experience, I am also happy to work with children like supporting them in school activities or just spending play time with them.

I am a fast learner and happy to support in any things that pop up.
