Beschreibung

Hello ! We're Benicio and Zoe! We're passionate about building strong, reciprocal relationships to the Land. I, Benicio, want to work to support the health of the soil and the health of our communities, and I'm really interested in learning about permaculture and moving from industrialized to regenerative agriculture systems. I grew up in Northern California, where I learned to love to run, explore, and rock climb. I love to spend time outdoors, be active, and work passionately. I'm currently studying Environmental Studies and Colonialism Studies at Tufts University. I, Zoe, grew up in Georgia, where I learned to explore the Land from a young age. I'm interested in fostering similar environments to the ones I grew up in: where communities can thrive with the Land that they inhabit and with each other. I'm studying Archaeology at Tufts University as well, so I have experience with manual field work, exploring history through the Earth, and forming meaningful relationships with the groups that I work with. We both have minimal experience working on farms, and are excited to learn!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Benicio:
I have experience working on a farm in New Mexico, where I spent most of my time planting pumpkins, landscaping, and caring for goats and chickens. I study the environment in school, with a focus on permaculture and urban agriculture. I'm type 2 firefighter certified and I've learned how to use controlled burning to support ecosystem heath. I'm an active person, I love to make music, cook vegetarian dishes, and meet new people!

Zoe:
In my childhood, I lived in small outdoors communities on and off and spent time exploring, foraging, and picking blueberries. I have experience doing archaeological field work, so I've practiced excavation and soil analysis, as well as practices to help native and medicinal plants thrive through and beyond our work. I'm creative, love to make art and cook!
