Ich bin gerade

Beschreibung

You could best describe me as open, responsible, organised, practical, creative, curious and a quick learner. Through Workaway and other organisations I volunteered in several roles, teams and countries over the last twelve years. I feel grateful for the precious and enriching experiences they gave me.
Being part of a community for a while is my favourite way of going around the world: giving back, exchanging, learning, joy in meeting and working with different people … And in that I try to go by: How can I contribute to a more caring, more creative world?

How I volunteered: gardening and farming in eco-projects, household and cooking in international meditation centers, facilitating workshops with refugees, floor manager in film and theatre festivals, production in community arts events, olive harvest help, kitchen help in a food waste restaurant, help in organic food market.
Where I traveled among others: Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Greece, Middle East, Sweden, UK, Kenya, Cambodia.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I feel at home in a broad area of work: DIY projects (e.g. I built my own desk and bed), gardening, organizing, helping guests/clients, cooking, kitchen help, housekeeping, cleaning, painting, repairing. Have picked up my sewing skills recently, and upcycling is my thing. I am quick in picking up what needs to be done. Besides this, I can teach basics in contact improvisation and tango, and guide meditation sessions.

Reader and dancer. Enjoy a coffee in the sunrise, and a plunge in the sea. Try to live more or less minimalist in a relaxed way. As a self employed editor (for social organisations and ngo’s), I am independent in choosing my travel and volunteer plans. Based in Amsterdam. Meeting and working with people from different cultures and lifestyles enriches my life. Volunteering has been my way of traveling, living at one spot for a period of time, as it is the best way to experience life.
