Hi, there!
I’m Azumi.
I’m 31 years old Japanese woman.
I’m interested in self sufficient living.
My country Japan, there are a lot of natural disasters everywhere every year.
My mom and I are trying to prepare preserved food for them. Making like dried persimmons, ginger pickles, plum wine.
This June, I made a lot of plum jams and wine! I can’t wait to try them!!
My mom’s also trying to grow cucumbers and watermelons this summer.
I want to know other culture’s self sufficient living ideas and make use of them.
Of course, I’ll share my ideas if you want!
I lived in Australia in 2024, so I can communicate in English. I’m friendly and polite. Yes, I'm Japanese—but don’t expect me to fit the stereotype of the quiet, always-smiling, obedient girl. I work hard, but I’m also bold, curious, and not afraid to speak up!

🍳 Cooking Skills
I love cooking and eating!
Some of my best dishes are gyoza (Japanese dumplings), fresh spring rolls, and cheesecake.
I especially enjoy baking cheesecakes and can make a variety of flavors such as plain, cacao & orange, matcha, and black sesame.
🌱 Gardening Skills
At my parents’ house in Japan, I regularly do weeding and help plow a small field.
We use natural materials like rice bran, eggshells, and food scraps to enrich the soil. I enjoy helping with our small-scale, eco-friendly gardening.
🌍 Language Skills
Japanese: Native
English: Intermediate (Started learning in 2024 in Australia)
In Australia, I worked at a rice ball (onigiri) stall where I practiced English in real-life situations, especially through customer service. -
