Hi! My name is Antsje. and I live in the Netherlands!
I love being outdoors, and connecting with people and animals, and also discovering new places and living in a simple, adventurous way - whether that's with camping, hiking, climbing, or (trail) running.

I am excited to meet hosts and fellow Workawayers, and to share experiences while learning from eachother :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I graduated as a veterinary assistent and animal manager, which gave me both practical and theoretical knowledge about working with animals. I've gained experience, among other things such as:
- A cow farm (feeding, cleaning, assisting with daily care of the animals and farm)
- A sheep farm (lambing season, animal care, outdoor work)
- A husky sledge company (training, feeding, handling dogs)
- An animal shelter (caring for different animals, cleaning)
These experiences taught me to work hard, adapt quickly, and take responsibility.

Besides working with animals, I also enjoy outdoor and practical work such as gardening, basic maintenance, or helping around the house. I'm eager to learn and not afraid of physical work.

Was noch ...

I am currently working in a hospital as a logistic employee, mainly doing patient and medicine transport, but I am ready for some new adventures! In 2019 I did an internship in Finland, and in 2023 I studied in Norway (Outdoor education and Nordic Friluftsliv), so I do have some experience being abroad.

My current interests and hobbies contain:
- Climbing and bouldering, which I started doing in Norway. Since then, I've been absolutely hooked on it!!
- Jogging/running, currently training for a full marathon. Hopefully next year!
- Music, I mainly just love listening to music. Mostly Pop, Rock, Indie, Folk, Alternative styles...
