  During the Covid 19 Pandemic I am not inviting workawayers. To all you adventurers still traveling the world, I wish you safety and good health. When I do invite a workawayer, I have space for only one person; no couples or multiple persons.
  My small beautiful property is 12 minutes by car from UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE city, San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato state of Mexico. : I am an active retired teacher living in near an authentic rural village. Bus Service to downtown available 1/2 block from my home. I provide a workawayer with a private studio cottage with small kitchen and bathroom completely separate from the main house There is WIFI.
  I invite workawayers to my home when I am traveling. Workawayers have helped with gardening, house cleaning, window washing, caring for one horse, one sweet dog, and one kitten.
  I have a full time employee working at my home Mondays through Fridays 8 am until 5.30 p.m. named Salvador. He may ask for your help with landscaping, cleaning patios/yard, and such. Its great to have a workawayer here during the nights and weekends when I'm away for a bit of extra security (though there have been no security issues to date).
  In San Miguel de Allende cultural options abound: traditional fiestas, art, music, dance, pyramids, hot springs. Many hiking and horseback riding trails nearby plus an authentic rural Mexican pueblo with several small tiendas (basic foods, beer, and such), a church and primary school.   San Miguel de Allende Mexico was selected by Conde Nast Traveller as top city to live in the world. This is a UNESCO World Heritage city,with a rich cultural history. Art, music, dance, fiestas, hot springs, pyramids, hiking, bicycling, golf abound. I am a retired English teacher and can help improve English skills. I also speak Spanish. There is a small authentic Mexican pueblo near to my home with a primary school, Church several tiendas/stores. Great opportunity to know the "real Mexico" and meet locals. Easy access into the city by car or public bus which stops 1/2 block from my home. Nearby places of interest to visit, accessible by bus, are Guanajuato (a university city, beautiful architecture, 1 hour away), Atotonilco (UNESCO Sanctuary, hot springs for swimming, country dining at Nirvanas, Galeria Atotonilco for art /craft lovers....20 minutes away), Queretaro's Historic Centro (1 hour via bus). I would prefer you spend nights at my property when I am away.

  My home is in the peaceful countryside only 12 minutes by car from beautiful San Miguel de Allende Mexico. The work generally consists of help landscaping, watering trees/flowers, cleaning, sweeping, window washing. At present I have only one horse, one friendly dog and kitten. You will need to enjoy working outdoors, gardening, watering trees and plants. There is bus service into San Miguel de Allende 1/2 block from my home. Your room is private and completely separate from the main house with a refrigerator, stove tops, microwave, blender, coffeemaker, bathroom, wifi
  
  Since I am traveling when workawayers are invited to my home, you will cook your own food. I am a vegetarian and do not at any animals/fish, but you can cook these if you want. I will supply you with all the basics such as eggs, tortillas, cereals, pancake mixes, soups, beans, lentils, rice, fresh fruits, veggies, milk, coffee, tea and more
  
  . A pretty pond and gigantic open space with valleys, mountains, rivers is behind your room. In front are views of San Miguel de Allende city, the reservoir (lake) and mountains. Lots of walks nearby, an authentic Mexican village known as "Estancia (Hacienda) de Canal" with a school and Catholic church, several stores. A true Mexican experience and great opp to improve your Spanish. .

  My property has a separate studio-casita with refrigerator, stove tops for cooking, microwave, coffeemaker blender, bath with shower. Furnished with shelving, large wardrobe cabinet for clothes, table and chairs, all kitchen supplies for cooking and sofa that makes into double bed with firm mattress topper. The accommodation has WIFI and is private and separate from the main house, with its own patio. San Miguel de Allende is above 6000 feet (2000 m); fresh air and mild temps almost year round.

  BEAUTIFUL "Central Highlands" of Mexico location. Many visitors to beautiful San Miguel de Allende Mexico never want to leave. Though not a large city, there is much to do: an abundance of art (more than 300 galleries), traditional fiestas almost continually, dance, music, cultural opps. Nearby are hot springs for swimming, golf courses, pyramids to explore, hiking and cycling trails. Excellent restaurants, in all price ranges. Good shopping at several fruit and vegetable markets. The Mercado Artesanias is popular for Mexican souvenirs. Saturday morning's Organic Market is enjoyed with stalls selling fresh Mexican meals and organic produce. Nearby cities to visit: university city of Guanajuato (1 hour), fast growing Queretaro with its pretty historic center (1 hour), Mexico City (3 hours), Mineral de Pozos (old mining town 45 minutes), many historic haciendas. First and second class bus service available at low rates. Nearest airports: Leon/Bajio , Queretaro, Mexico City.
