Hello everyone :)

My name is Anne-Marie, but you can call me Anne. I’m a junior biologist (just graduated from my master, starting my doctorate in January !) and love nature and the outdoors. I really enjoy learning about plants, animals and the diverse ecosystems around the world. I like to travel a lot, to play and listen to music, to discover new places, to do yoga and hiking with pretty landscapes, to cook and eat good food, and many more things !

I know it can sounds cliché but my goal in life is to make a positive difference (in a social and environmental way). That’s why I’m starting a doctorate about wetlands restoration. I’m also really interested in everything about sustainable lifestyle.

That’s one of the reasons why I want to do more workaways : because I believe it is a wonderful way of learning skills and knowledge about lifestyles in harmony with nature (and also to create beautiful connections and memories with amazing people, of course), while contributing to great missions.

I’m really motivated to learn what you can teach me and I’m a fast learner, so I can rapidly help with the different tasks you need. I’m curious, perseverant, kind and a good listener. I also love to talk about travelling stories.

(P.s. English is not my first language so maybe some sentences may sound weird, sorry for that hihi)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a bachelor degree in ecology and environment and a master in biology (i’m a biologist). I have good knowledge about the plants and animals of my country (Canada) and many ecological processus. I have a lot of experience working in nature with rough conditions (mosquitoes, heat, dirt, long hours, etc.), so that’s not a problem for me. I know some things about harvesting and gardening, but not a lot.

I can help with gardening, cooking, some manual tasks (ex: painting), etc.

I’m a frenchspeaker, from Quebec. I can teach you about some traditional meal from Canada and winter sports.

Some of my student jobs where linked to clients services and events. I’ve worked during music festivals, shows, hockey games (selling things, doing crowd animation, hostess, etc.). I also was a barmaid at my university, so I can do cocktails ! I can help to organize events with a lot of people and I’m good at welcoming people, decorating a room, thinking about games to entertain people, etc.

I’m good with a computer and internet and can also help with some creative projects.

Finally, as I said, I’m really motivated and a fast-learner, so I can do many other tasks if you show me how to :)
