🤗 Hi, I am Nastya! I am from Russia but I don't live there since 2023 because of the political reasons

For years I had a stable job in Data Analysis and followed a path that was considered safe and “right.” But deep inside I felt disconnected and unhappy because this life wasn’t truly mine. I was living according to expectations, not according to my heart.

So, I decided to make a change. I quit my job, packed my things in one backpack and started traveling. Not just to see new places, but to reconnect with myself and discover who I really am when I’m not trying to fit into someone else’s idea of how life should be.

⛰️Right now, I’m living some of the best moments of my life in South Africa!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a professional background in data analytics, although I doubt it will be particularly useful for most Workaway projects — and to be honest, I'm not sure I want to return to that field right now.

I’m great with dogs (I used to have one of my own) and already have some hands-on volunteering experience. I spent time on a farm in South Africa where I helped with gardening, cared for chickens, cleaned around the house, and prepared cottages after guests.

I naturally enjoy order and cleanliness, so tasks like decluttering, washing dishes, organizing spaces, and general housekeeping genuinely suit me.

I also have experience working with children — I was a camp counselor for several years and get along with kids very well. I’m cheerful, adaptable, and good at creating a fun and safe atmosphere for them.

Physically, I’m strong and quite resilient, so I’m not afraid of practical or demanding work.

My native language is Russian, I speak English well, and I’m currently learning Spanish.

Was noch ...

I’ve realized that building a career in IT isn’t for me, and I’m now exploring different paths. One of the directions I’m considering for the future is learning massage therapy and other ways of healing !

I’m very interested in living closer to nature, being more self-sufficient, using alternative energy sources, and spending my days around animals and the land. That’s the kind of lifestyle I imagine for myself someday. For now, I’m traveling, discovering cultures, and searching for inspiration.

In everyday life, I enjoy simple pleasures: playing a computer game now and then, sharing a beer or a glass of wine, watching musicals and thrillers, reading classic literature, practicing yoga. And above all, I love humor, warmth, and having fun ^-^ otherwise, what’s the point?
