Hey! Salut!

Welcome to my profile, my name is Allison and I'm currently living my childhood dream by exploring Canada.

I'm very enthusiastic to move and explore new places. After finishing my teaching degree in France, I decided to leave my home country to go to UK as an Aupair for couple months. I finally stay almost 9 years living as an expat in Manchester.

I love anything related to wildlife, nature and outdoor activities. Which might be why I am thriving here in Canada. Being able to see wildlife in their natural habitat has been an highlight for me here.

I decided to do this career break after years working in customer service and management. Since moving to Canada I've explored few places and even dropped my backpack since October in Tofino working as a volunteer in a hostel but also securing a job in a local restaurant. During this opportunity I managed to do everything I love the most: learning surfing, kayaking, taking pictures of nature and animals, meet new people local or international, etc.

I'm now on the lookout for my next adventures to learn new skills but also to bring my own (childcare, gardening, housekeeping, management, animal care, crafting, handyman tasks ...). I love to be in a new environment and love to help on people's project or event. I've done few volunteering jobs in the past in various places:
- with children with special needs
- music festival
- teaching French in a primary school in UK
- housekeeping in a hostel/guesthouse

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Throughout the years I got various skills. I got a bachelor degree in Psychology and a master degree in Teaching for primary school.
In my early years I wanted to work with children with special needs. Unfortunately, after moving to the UK my degree was not recognized so I had to change career.
I've developed skills in translation, customer service, account management and I had to manage my own international team.
Since moving to Canada I developed new skills in new environment (resort and restaurant). I'm a person who adapt very easy to new situation and learn quickly.

Was noch ...

I can be very social but I also love my alone time to be able to dive into my reading. Yep I'm a book addict but less though since traveling ☺️
I also love play board games ! And go a on walk even if the weather is bad.
I get bored in front of the TV so this isn't my favorite things to do except if there is a new show I am very into but very rare.
I love music and cannot go without using Spotify every day !
