Hello, we are Reece and Alina, looking for volunteer opportunities across Central America, we are passionate about wildlife and nature and love being and working outdoors. Hope to see you soon :)

Beschreibung

Hello and Hola!
We are Reece (from the UK, 34 years old) and Alina (from Germany, 32 years old) and we are very excited to explore Central America together. We got married in October and now are on our very long honeymoon! A key part of exploring for us is doing workaways where we can gain more rewarding experiences from traveling.

For the past few years we have been living in Cornwall, UK and enjoyed everything outdoors, from coastal walks to surfing, snorkeling and kayaking. Now we will be traveling through Central America, starting in Panama and hopefully make it to Mexico in about 6-12 months, while volunteering along the way. Both of us are very outdoorsy and passionate about nature and wildlife.

Alina loves animals and is happiest surrounded by cats, dogs, horses and whatever animal is nearby. Back in the UK she worked at a vets and volunteered at Cats Protection as well as the National Trust where she learned a lot about coast and countryside conservation.

Reece is a keen surfer, loves to be in or on the water and also is very interested in nature and conservation. He is happiest when outside and active or leaning new things. Back in the UK he worked for Save the Children as a fundraising data analyst.

We have both done a few workaways whilst traveling in Canada and met while volunteering on a ranch in British Columbia. We love meeting new people, are trying to improve our Spanish and excited to learn some new skills.

Alina is fluent in German and English and pretty good in French. She has been trying to learn Spanish prior to the trip and is hoping to improve it more. Reece is fluent in English and pretty good in German. He has started learning Spanish as well and is trying to learn more while traveling.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Reece has done a previous workaway volunteering on an organic farm, harvesting, planting and sewing all sorts of fruits and vegetables and helped with anything else that was needed. We both have volunteered on a ranch in Canada, where Alina has mainly looked after the farm animals (horses, donkeys, goats, chickens and a lovely dog), while Reece helped with fencing, landscaping and other projects that needed attention. We both have housekeeping experience.
