Beschreibung
Happy, energetic and living life the best I can is how I would describe myself.
I successfully raised 4 sons as a single parent. After 20 years working for a global law firm, 13 years in London and 7 in the Middle East I am now making the most of retirement, mostly by travelling.
I have a keen interest in painting, decorating and gardening while I’m home and would love to share my skills and learn lots more.
Whilst working in London I showed a keen interest in one of our charities - a school in a remote part of India. For over 10 years I visited the school frequently and built trust and relationships with the children and staff, some I am still in touch with. Although challenging, the experience was extremely rewarding especially when the children let me know about their lives now and their work achievements.
I am proficient using Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint (a little rusty now!) and have excellent organisational skills due to my administrative background.
I have experienced my first workaway at a chateau in France. For 4 weeks I watered and weeded the garden, prepared salads and vegetables, set up breakfast, washing and pressing bed linen and all other general household duties. I was invited back to assist in all preparations for an anniversary party with 63 guests.

A lover of DIY in my own home and passionate about gardening. Looking forward to these adventures where I can put these skills to the test and learn so much more. Happy to cook, clean, wash and iron (used to run an ironing business). Great with people and most animals, especially dogs.
