Glen and Jean are sensitive, kind, and wonderful people. I enjoyed every single moment and highly recommend them! I worked comfortably and joyfully in the permaculture garden they nurture with so much care and love, alongside lovely geese wandering freely around the beautiful land. I learned so much about permaculture, and this place is simply magical.

They are a very friendly and polite couple. Not only did they do the beekeeping work, but they also kept the area around our house and the garden incredibly clean. They also treated us to many delicious Italian meals. They even found an exceptionally delicious wine for us at the supermarket wine shop, which doesn't have a wide selection. If you ever get the chance to spend time with them, grab it.

Amedeo spent one month in our home, helping around with the kids and general household. He is a respectful and lovely guy, always willing to help, play and start an enriching conversation about any topic. He managed to be absolutely loved and admired by our three kids, aged from 1 to 8. We only have warm words to describe our month together. Thank you very much for all your help and mouthwatering meals. We will absolutely miss you!

We had a great couple of weeks staying with Gustavo, Mariana and their two lovely dogs and cats in El Bolsón. The work for us was weeding and maintaining the raspberry bushes to have them in the best shape possible for the harvesting season in January. It was easy to watch the day go by working out in the sun with the Patagonian mountains as a backdrop. The accommodation is a cosy and self contained cabin, it has everything in there that you may need, including a fridge, stove and oven. Gustavo kindly took us to the supermarket after picking us up from El Bolson bus station to get some supplies. The area of El Bolson is beautiful and there are many things you can do when not working, including plenty of hiking, waterfall and river visits as well as going to the nearby towns for an ice cream or a beer. We would definitely recommend visiting the Rio Azul and Lago Puelo if you can. Most places to visit you will either need to walk to, catch a bus from the bottom of the hill (45 min walk) or try your luck at haciendo el dedo (hitch-hiking)! Thank you again Gustavo and Mariana for a fantastic two weeks! Chris & Yasmin

Ganesh was a fantastic guest at our permaculture farm - super sincere, reliable, and kept everything spotlessly clean while fitting right into our daily flow. He shared awesome insights from his past farm and hostel volunteering, joined us for a day visit to the Khajuraho Jain temple, we discussed many topics, respected all our house rules, and even spiced up our chats with his know how on sustainable farming, hospitality, and wellness. We'd love to have him back anytime and totally recommend him to other hosts!

Thank you so much for this wonderful Workaway experience in your peaceful food forest! Your finca is a true treasure, and I felt welcome and at home from the very beginning. The warmth, cheerfulness and appreciation within the group made this experience really special. Bruno and Ana, you were so hospitable, warm, respectful, friendly, humane and grateful. That is why you are such an inspiration to me and that is why I felt so at home. A huge thank you to you both, I am so grateful that I was able to stay with you. The daily rituals, such as the early morning Puja, silent meditation and gratitude rounds, were deeply inspiring. I enjoyed many beautiful moments: meaningful conversations, singing circles, time in nature, hard work, and delicious, healthy food. Orgiva, just a 15-minute walk away, offers cozy cafés, organic shops, and many opportunities for meditation, yoga and community activities. There are also great hiking options nearby, and the sea is reachable by car. I stayed from November to December. After sunset it can get quite cold, especially since the kitchen and living areas are open. The work schedule varied depending on the tasks and weather. During olive harvest we had a few long, intensive days followed by more free time, and rainy days were usually free. A big hug to all of you!🫶

Amazing experience! Harshit, his family and everyone at kindergarten, school are fabulous! Those were two funnies weeks, discovering about the education, traditions, culture. With Dylan we could feel the open mind of Harshit and everyone there. They have given us a lot of opportunities and freedom to share our opinions, our ideas, our projects, and our creativity with them. The children are very energetic, respectful, and loving. We loved them. We will not forget the time spent there. The people were very warm and friendly with us. We are very grateful and satisfied.

Sophie stayed 3 weeks with us. Most of her stay our family was sick with influenza and she was so kind and thoughtful and run the household for us until we felt better. She also took care of our horses, cats and dog independently. We hope to see her again in the future and show her more of our life and surroundings.

I stayed with Rahul at his permaculture farm in Khajuraho for few nights, along with my wife, and it was a very peaceful and meaningful experience for both of us. We arrived quite early in the morning, and even though it was winter, Rahul came early to the farm just to receive us. That gesture itself says a lot about him as a host. Rahul is friendly, down-to-earth, polite, easy to connect with, and well travelled. His farm is located in a secluded, calm, and quiet area—ideal for anyone who enjoys nature, silence, and simple living. We spent time relaxing, observing birds, enjoying the surrounding hills and green fields, and playing with his friendly female dog, Woolie. During our stay, most of my contribution was through brainstorming and discussions. Rahul and I had long conversations about permaculture, farm development, hosting ideas, sustainability, and future possibilities for improving the farm. It was more of an exchange of ideas, experiences, and perspectives rather than physical work, and I really enjoyed that collaborative approach. Rahul was very open in sharing his space—he offered access to the kitchen, WiFi, and even his scooter to explore nearby areas. He made us feel at home rather than like guests. One evening, we even watched a short documentary together using a projector, which added a nice shared moment. He also took us along with his mother to visit a local temple, and later we visited a Jain temple in Khajuraho where we experienced Jain food. These small outings made the stay more personal and memorable. Overall, it was a relaxed, respectful, and enriching Workaway experience. Rahul is a thoughtful host who values conversation, ideas, and genuine connection. We’re grateful for the time spent at his farm and wish him all the best with his permaculture journey.

I only spent a week at Béatrice's, and it was a very pleasant stay. She is easy to reach, accommodating, and provides excellent information for planning your stay. I was warmly received and hosted in a beautiful, large, and comfortable private room with a superb view of the garden pond and the Vilaine River. Her place is truly idyllic, it's a little haven of peace. Béatrice is very interesting and particularly attentive, despite everything she had to do, we were often able to chat about all sorts of different topics. She has a knowledge and vision of the world really interesting. She also gives really interesting advices, a very nice person. Her dogs are beautiful and adorable. Hazul is starting to feel his age, and Rais is a little wary at first, but they are good boys. I especially enjoyed her cats; Grisette is very cuddly and comforting, and Domino is very independent. The work was interesting, varied, and not too difficult. Béatrice let me choose between several tasks and set my own schedule. As a result, I finished preparing the garden so it would be beautiful and ready for winter. I also offered to cook for her, she mainly buys fresh, organic, and excellent quality ingredients, so the meals were fantastic. I highly recommend this host to anyone who is autonomous and has basic gardening skills. Béatrice, thank you again for your hospitality, it was truly a lovely to stay at your place.

We spent 10 wonderful days at Phoeury’s school and truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. We had a comfortable room upstairs with two fans, which made the accommodation very pleasant. Phoeury provided two hot meals a day, and the food was delicious. Classes were held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the children were amazing- it was a pleasure to teach them. The whole family was kind, warm, and welcoming. They also provided free bicycles, and it takes only about 10 minutes to reach a lovely coffee shop nearby and local market. We are very grateful for this experience and highly recommend staying with Phoeury and his family.

I strongly recommend people to stay in theirs, who has some experiences but is a beginner of English,or interested in the organic sustainable farming life, art or creation. All members of the family are amazing English teachers, creators and artists... The days joined the life of the beautiful family, Sol and Jana's, was so much precious. They gave me so many opportunity talking and thinking in English through about many various topics during this one and half months. Ella was also a great little teacher. Talked about movies, games, birds, foods, traveling, life in Japan and New Zealand, etc...too many to count! They are more than teachers...I got the family in New Zealand. Working in their field and garden was also interesting for me as a beginner of farm job. I learned many things physically what I've learned as topics in the classroom of University. I enjoyed the early spring jobs.

Sven, Domi and all the family, We spent an unforgettable month with you all! We were very happy to help at the Lego shop and it was very fun to build the church with the people of the village. You have a wonderful family with kids with different personalities, but they are all very kind and it was nice spending time with them. Thank you for your kindness, for making us feel like we were at home, and for helping us to discover a part of Germany. We will keep this experience in our memory forever. And we will not hesitate to come say hi at the Lego shop if we go to Germany someday. We hope you spent a good time with us too. We wish you the best for the future, Delphine & Lola

Thank you so much Ann and Liam for a wonderful two weeks! This was definitely our favourite workaway experience so far. We loved our chats about philosophy, consciousness and aliens (and playing Catan)! The food was always top-notch, Ann is an amazing chef, we were incredibly well looked after. We stayed in the writer's retreat for half the time, which was perfectly decorated and a real treat, the second half was spent in the caravan, which was also cosy. The work was 5 hours a day for 3 days off, it consisted of weeding and strimming (whippersnippering as they say here) the oak forest and labyrinth as well as some other outside tasks. Ann was always very generous in giving us lifts to places on our afternoons and days off, there are lots of good walks and activities in the surrounding areas. The place holds a special energy, our time here was very peaceful. Ann, we hope you achieve your goal of making the world a better place through retreats, mindfulness, love and kindness. We would love to come back to see you again and the progress made at the Sanctuary, thank you for having us!

Sharing two weeks with Marion and Denise was a very enriching experience in many ways. I truly enjoyed the surroundings and feeling like part of the family during my short stay, where I enjoyed eating lots of salads and sweet treats every day. During the days, I mainly helped with gardening tasks such as removing and cutting banana tree, weeding, chopping wood, feeding the chickens and ducks and collecting/cleaning their eggs, preparing the soil for cultivation, trimming hedges, washing the motorhome, and washing and polishing personal vehicles, among other tasks. I’m also very grateful for the consideration during the last few days and for taking me to see beautiful places around the area. Thank you very much as well for being flexible and for helping me with my job search, and for lending me the bicycle to make it possible. A hug and best wishes to you both.

I spend a wonderful time with Nomina and her family during December. She have a true kind heart and was really invested about make me discovering Mongolian culture. As a volunteer here, you goal will be to help her as many tasks as you can. She stopped working for being a full time mother with her 7 years old kid Marko. Marko have autisme but he is doing big progress every day for becoming more and more independent. Despite everything he is still a kid who likes to play, draw, hug, listen to music and eat cookies. Together we shared beautiful walks in the snow and the wood, learning to do the dishes and songs of green mantras. It can be really exhausting for Nomina so helping her will allow her some precious resting or alone time, in exchange she will cook wonderful meals (her love language is food for sure) and take you exploring the area and the city. She have an international profile and will love talk with you about everything and she will also respect naturally your intimacy and your resting times. My time with them was rich and I hope I will have the opportunity to come again and see how Marko will grow up :)

Anabele staid nearly 3 weeks with me and it was the perfect match. She is a very helpful and nice person, who took good care of my animals and everything I asked her to do. I only can recommend her.
