I had a wonderful experience staying here, location was incredible! Accommodation was lovely right on the sea! So peaceful and such amazing peaceful nature vibes. The work was easy, just had to help clean beach clean and with some basic garden stuff. But she said it can vary. Host was lovely and helpful and the dogs are too cute! I loves my time here, thank you!

Ria is such a lovely, powerful and interesting woman! It was such an awesome, interesting and very enriching experience on the farm. We both learnt a lot and will definitely not forget the experience in Boufekrane! Thanks for everything you showed and explained to us!

I stayed for a week. The people are nice, welcoming and active. They work together and guide you through the work. I like the spirit and the energy. The house has a warm atmosphere and a lot of things were self made.

I had a warm and open relationship with this couple during their stay. We could talk about most things, and the atmosphere was generally relaxed and friendly. They seemed happy to be in peaceful surroundings, and the boy took responsibility for communication, as the girl didn’t speak English — something that became clear after arrival. On the practical side, the effort was mixed. The boy took the lead and followed instructions well, while the girl needed more tailored tasks and was harder to understand. I found they had very little hands-on experience, and some basic routines — like feeding the chickens — were not followed despite clear explanations. I had to repeat instructions several times, and it required adjustments on my part to make things manageable. They took excellent care of a kitten that arrived during their stay, and I’m truly grateful for that. We also solved some practical issues together, like switching to a fixed food budget so they could shop independently. This made things easier to manage, more predictable, and fair. They arrived without work clothes or shoes, which made it clear that we should have talked more in advance about the nature of the tasks. I take some responsibility for that and will aim to be clearer in future arrangements. Matching expectations and responsibilities early on is key to making this kind of setup work well. Their departure was emotional and heartfelt — they initiated a warm goodbye, which meant a lot to me. I wish them all the best on their journey ahead and in life together.

I worked and lived with Paolo for 1 week. I did mainly gardening, Paolo explained to me the reasons why I was doing things which was nice. We ate together 3 times per day and it was DELICIOUS, I even learned to make pasta the Italian way, and he talked to me about the spanish culture and history. The only negative point is that I found the work a bit repetitive. I had the time to go on hikes everyday so that was good :) In global I recommend!

We got on very well with Marion right from the start. She is a friendly, uncomplicated, calm and motivated person. Marion helped us build a concrete floor and a brick wall, she cut branches and helped Alice with her maths with great patience. We are happy to have met her and look forward to welcoming her back!

Durante su tiempo en el hotel, como bien dijeron, no habían muchos huéspedes y ellos, con su mejor sonrisa, estaban dispuestos a ayudar en tareas de limpieza y mantenimiento del hotel. Y cuando sí los había, se notaba que tenían conocimiento en atención al cliente, siendo super eficientes trabajadores. Nos encantó compartir momentos con ustedes sobre todo , clases de yoga juntos, charlas, cervezas y risas. Les deseamos lo mejor en su aventura, con su energía imparable y buena predisposición ante cualquier inconveniente que ocurra en el camino. Les agradecemos de corazón por haber compartido con nosotros y por siempre dar lo mejor de ustedes. Los queremos y esperamos volver a cruzarlos !

We had a wonderful time with Suus, she helped a lot with the dogs, especially training them. Whats also visible on her own Dog , Maya. What an wonderful 4pawed Lady. Maya is an well behaving, very social sweetie. She had so much Fun with my Pack. My Mum loved the walks with Suus in the morning. i loved it, that i could skip cooking sometimes. Suus was always giving an helping Hand when needed and worked realy hard. We are very sorry that she could not stay longer, but hopefully Suus will return one day.

My experience volunteering for Frauke was very positive. I felt so welcomed and supported from the moment I arrived. Though my time was short, I experienced personal growth that I likely would’ve felt more resistant to in most other spaces. Frauke has such positive energy and is so generous with her wisdom. I loved learning new skills and getting to know and love her animals as well. I hope to volunteer for her again some day! I highly recommend volunteering here, especially if you are seeking personal growth and creating a joyful life :)

Staying with José and Joha was simply incredible. It was a true highlight of our trip and we will treasure our memories there always. The hospitality, the warmth, the love, passion and dedication they have poured into everything... the food! Oh my lord, the food! Of course, all the fur babies. It was such a joy getting to practice spanish and share stories and laughs late into the evening together as well as digging and planning the pond and making an archway for the refugio. Everything they have done, they have done with such dedication, skill and care. The craftsmanship and thought they put into things and the way they selflessly share and include you as if you are part of the family from day one is something truly special and irreplaceable. A special mention for the food, which we still dream about... José is a true master of his craft, and we still think fondly of the pudding belly we always managed to save for MÁS MELÓN! Another special mention for the dogs, they brought us so much joy and we were heartbroken to leave them. Our only regrets - 1. that we didn't have better spanish, still working at it, and 2. that we couldn't stay longer... oh and the chicken but we won't talk about that haha. We really hope to return one day! From the bottom of our hearts and across the pond, gracias!

I stayed at the campsite for four weeks this summer and had a really great time. The campsite is surrounded by the Oslo fjord and is located on beautiful grounds where we could enjoy a football pitch, a volleyball pitch, small beaches and docks for swimming. There is plenty to do at the campsite and in the surrounding area, with Oslo just 45 minutes away by bus. The tasks are very clear and simple, and the week is well structured with a shift plan. Mostly it's cooking and cleaning, and everything is explained in instructions and to-do lists. The camp is well managed by Tor and Ingrid who are always happy to give advice about things to do in the local area.

Warm welcome and safe stay here with Helen & Pepa! My first workaway experience and am so delighted with how smooth it went. Stayed for x2 weeks and so tempted to stay longer. Helen was so kind, patient, and generous towards me. Really insured I felt comfortable and cared for while giving me great tips on Vienna & Tulln, plus much more. Even while she was in recovery, she made sure there was space/time for adventures, even for our taste buds with local Austrian specialities together. Communicated super from the start and throughout the stay, always thanking me. We had such a wonderful time together with “our show”, our coffees and helping with the hens, walking sweet well behaved Pepa & lawn mowing for the 1st time in my life, which is so satisfying!! Thank you for everything. Helen is a super, experienced and authentic host. If you get the chase, say yes!

I spent about two weeks with Adam, Anna, and Franek, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Not only did they help me learn about Polish culture and lots of delicious local foods, but above all, they helped me have an experience that I really needed. They gave me a great gift: that of living well, being grateful for what you have, always ready to help others, and accepting that not everything has to be perfect and organized all the time. Mohammed, finding the right words is difficult, because he was truly a special person! We had a wonderful time together, from day one! He had great respect for the Foundation, he experienced the harmony of various cultures and the spirituality of meals. He always made himself available by helping collect food, but right from the start, his passion for horses overwhelmed Alessia with joy, and they began a journey of growth together. He acted as a tutor to Alessia and taught her many essential skills. He has such a wonderful energy that even our JUNIORS became fond of him. He took English lessons with them, and he was an incredible teacher: skilled, determined, and friendly! He never asked for special needs and always showed himself to be attentive to what was going on around him. It was a wonderful experience that we would all like to repeat soon! Thank you, Mohammed!

I had an amazing experience with Chris and his family in Portugal. If you love the outdoors, horses (and other animals) and some quiet time this is the place for you! Even if you are experienced you can learn a lot about horses and everything around them. You also get to live in a cool spacious retro camper, which was clean and tidy. If you like walking/running/mountain biking you can do plenty of that here as well. Thank you again for having me, I had a very great time I won't forget! :)

I spent the last month at Pig Rescue and it was the most beautiful time I've had in a really long time. It's a place filled with empathy and tenderness - both for animals and people. Helpful and friendly staff, open-minded and cheerful volunteers from all over the world and, of course, a large number of animals. We worked five hours a day every day, and everyone had two days off per week. We had unlimited access to food - there really was everything we wanted:) In addition, both lunch and dinner were really delicious and varied every day. The routine, the good atmosphere, the animals and the Irish nature around really improve the well-being. I felt great satisfaction being around the animals every day and being able to contribute to their well-being. Pig Rescue is simply a good place on earth. I think this is especially confirmed by the fact that many volunteers return there regularly. I just got back from Ireland yesterday, but I'm already looking forward to going back there. I know that until then I will remember this beautiful place and miss all the animals and wonderful people I met there:)

staying with Frances was amazing! Myself, Sakura and Beth spent 10 days up at her property in the very pretty mountains of Slovenia. There was a great array of tasks meaning we got to do a good mix and never get bored. We helped clean the place, chop wood, harvest potato, cut and tidy the garden, clean the shed, paint the windows and do some cooking. Frances' cooking was amazing and every meal was so great. She drove us around to spend time hanging at the lake together, hike along the river and to waterfalls and visit other nearby spots. We also enjoyed hiking the nearby mountains which she gave us plenty of suggestions on. It was great to spend the week or so and see how she spends her time in this awesome part of Slovenia in a slower paced environment surrounded by lakes and mountains. Oh and of course, Diego / Oskar (the most awesome dog ever) he loved the water more than any dog we've seen and is so fun to play with all the time :) Thanks! Hamish, Sakura and Beth

Glen was a very responsible and an independent workawayer. Excellent with the animals but his real skill was in the garden where he revived all my plants and tamed many metres of hedging. Glen is enthusiastic, sociable and was willing to do anything asked of him around the finca, so I would have no hesitation in recommending him to other hosts.
