I have a good stay in Liljana´s place. I was deeply moved by Liljana's passion and dedication to animal welfare. Liljana also created a warm, home-like place for volunteers. She prepared traditional Albanian food for the volunteers and took us to local restaurants. I am truly grateful to Liljana and the local worker Lili for taking such good care of me. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to improve the situation of stray animals in Albania.

Lautaro is such a nice guy and a pleasure to work with. He is full of positive energy and showed a genuine commitment to helping out with anything that was needed. Students enjoyed learning from him. Highly recommended!" Wishing you the best on your next journeys!

What a wonderful time I had at Janne‘s and Paulina‘s (and of course Abbe‘s) place! I cannot even hope to put all the wonderful feelings and memories into one short review! Janne and Paulina were amazing hosts ready to talk about work or deeply personal topics but also to just joke around. They look at your very specific skillset to make sure, everyone can do work they enjoy and excel at. The food is downright amazing and the overall atmosphere in the house is the most harmonic I ever encountered. The star of the place of course is Abbe, the most loving dog I ever had the pleasure to meet. I will always fondly remember my time<3

We stayed here for more than a month and we can honestly say we had a wonderful time. Even with a long stay, living together never felt heavy at all — on the contrary, the atmosphere is relaxed, positive and very well organized. From the beginning everything is clearly explained, which really helps you feel comfortable right away. The host is open-minded, kind and always happy to listen to constructive feedback, while also giving a lot of independence in the work. We felt trusted and free to manage our tasks. He was also very generous in letting us use the car to explore the area and in suggesting many activities and places to visit. The quinta is beautiful, surrounded by nature and with many animals that are well taken care of. The jobs are truly varied: from agriculture to building maintenance and even more creative tasks, which makes every day different and interesting. Overall, it was an excellent experience, especially when there are many volunteers to share work, moments and laughs with. We truly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic, positive and well-organized volunteering experience.

We loved our stay with Rita. As soon as we arrived to Olmué, Rita made sure that we were comfortable and welcomed, she came to pick us up at the bus station which helped us a lot with our luggage. Once home, an amazing group of 5 dogs came to say hi to us, while a beautiful and cuddly cat waited for us inside. Her daughter Andrea also joined us for many of the meals and we could have very nice talks with her too. We had a private room for the 2 of us and it was very comfy and convenient. As for the work, we started the day after having a shared breakfast and we could propose tasks that we wanted to do around the house. We like working in the garden and organising, so we spent our time doing these activities. The tasks will vary depending on what is needed in the house at the time. Furing the whole stay we felt very useful and the hours flew by. After work we enjoyed the pool, relaxed around the garden or went to the centre of the village for a drink. Really great way to start our adventure in Chile :) We hope to see you soon again!

We spent one week in the house in January with our two sons. Despite our concerns about the low temperatures, the week went wonderfully. It is a place where everyone can always find something they enjoy doing. Frank is a wonderful conversationalist with a very broad range of interests. His cats and dog entertain and delight everyone. We gained new experiences and many wonderful impressions in this place, which is relatively far removed from civilization. Thank you Frank!

Coming to the place as a first impression,we were blown away. The space is so beautiful. Myra greeted us so warmly at the front desk and Fio, what a loving personality. Jori and i speak very little spanish and we had a hard time communicating with eachother verbally but we were able to show and receive such warmth and understanding through our actions and wellbeing. They were very patient with us in the regard and we are very grateful♡ We came during low season, it was very quiet while we were there. We did reception and general cleaning tasks that allowed us to have lots of free time. This space allowed for us to really reflect and do some inner work with our daily yoga sessions in the yoga room, swims in the beach, surfing and just being present with the general peaceful nature of the environment. Much needed. We had the opportunity to meet Oscar in our second week there and he is such a fun and easygoing person. The staff here just radiate such warmth and calm it truly is such a welcoming environment to be in. If you're looking to make meals while you are there, highly recommend doing big grocery runs in Talara (30 mins away) , there are a couple small stores in town but you will get more of your moneys worth in Talara. Highly recommend staying here, especially if youre needing a break away from a hectic everyday life.

august 2025 - this was my first workaway experience and what a fabulous one it was! Nadine is so friendly, understanding and inspiring, and Andrea is welcoming with great positive energy. I had a wonderful time learning about agricultural farming and sustainable living. The meals were delicious and filling and it was so lovely sitting and chatting together. Thank you Nadine for being so supportive and teaching me about new ways of living life, the conversations we had truly hold a place in who I am and want to be - you may not realise how much it all meant to me but I am eternally grateful. Such cherishable memories in lovely kind company! I am honoured to have contributed even a little part in the life of the plants and wildlife on this finca. Wishing you and Andrea success, contentment and fulfilment - and hoping Gnocchi and Nemo are thriving :)

Jori and I had no prior experience with permaculture or living in the jungle.Living with Silje and Diego has compeletly opened our minds and changed our perspectives with how we want to live our lives. It was a hard adjustment coming from city life in Canada with the heat and the bugs ahah but we were able to adjust well. The place itself is so beautiful, it was truly such a treat to live in nature that way. The work we did was varied and truly tested our capabilites. It was nice to learn how to do so many different things. The permaculture classes were such a treat. Very informative and engaging. Thank you again to the hosts for sharing all their knowledge so readily. It was a unique touch for a workaway experience. There were 10 of us in total throughout our workaway experience most of us started and finished at the same time , we felt that this brought us closer with one another. It allowed us to create a community and even when conflict arose it was beautiful to see how well we could communicate and grow together as a group. We felt that Silje, Diego and Romer were such great compliments to eachother. They are very passionate and energetic about the way they live and it is just so contagious. We really felt loved, seen and appreciated in this space. We will forever be grateful for this experience and for the friendships and memories we have made ♡

Evelyn and David took fantastic care of our cat and our apartment and sent us regular updates. Mauritz and I were really happy to see that you were able to enjoy the snow in Gothenburg. You’re welcome back any time. Thanks a lot!

Thank you very much Vero and family for this great opportunity! I had an excellent experience where I was able to connect very well with the students and the team. The facilities of the school are very professional, you may appreciate the excellency and commitment. They are teaching and learning effectively and you may see that in the results. Personally I will be very thankful for this opportunity, for having the chance to teach and to discover the city of Latacunga while leaving in a very nice apartment. I wish you the best for the future, I hope you continue growing always with God's guidance. Best wishes!!

I spent about a week with Sumer's family, and it was a wonderful, immersive experience of Rajasthani rural life. I helped with some harvesting, feeding animals, and painted murals for the guesthouse accommodation which was really fun:) Work hours started early, with a break for the hotter hours over lunch and then working again in the afternoon. But lots of chai's helped split the time up! Sumer was helpful and accommodating, the family are really friendly, and neighbours and cousins are always coming and going - so I met a lot of local people! I sat in on some of the evening English classes, run out of a room in the family's house - it's a great cause, and helping the kids practice their English was one of my favourite parts about staying here. The food was traditional Rajasthani, cooked over a wood fire, and tasted amazing - all organic too, grown by the family or the neighbours. My room was also very spacious and comfortable, which I really appreciated. I really felt a part of the family by the time I left - with an appreciation for the hard work that's part of rural life. This was by far one of the best insights into the culture here that I had on my month in Rajasthan. Thank you:)

I was planing on staying for 2 weeks but ended up staying for a whole month. The house is very welcoming, large commune areas to enjoy. The cleaning work itself is really easy, most of the students were coming and leaving because of the holidays, so I also helped with refreshing the painting in the rooms. Next to that, I got a lot of free time to enjoy Viña, which was amazing. Paulina wasn't at the house but the communication was still super good through WhatsApp and also thanks to her friend who was in the house, she also helped me figure out the buses and just basic helpful stuff to adjust in Chile in general. I also really enjoy talking to the people in the house to improve my Spanish et learn about Chilean culture. Muchas gracias de nuevo, soy muy agradecida 😊

I’m so grateful to Angi, Ñaño, and Fafi for an amazing experience. They are so welcoming and create an incredible environment for getting to know the animals, experiencing Chilean culture, and relaxing as well. The animals are really fun to work and play with. The work itself involved taking care of the animals and varied work around the farm such as creating canals and painting the pool. Thank you again for welcoming me into your home and lifestyle, I hope to return!

I stayed with Nikki, Camilo & Esme from 4th - 26th December 2025 and was welcomed with open arms into their home & family. I slept in a tent for the duration of my stay as family were staying in the Cabaña, I was always comfortable and was provided with a mattresses, duvet & extra blankets so I was warm & cozy (which I was). The work consisted of mainly helping out on their land with clearing a route down to the river, chopping up fire wood (the first time I’ve ever used a chain saw!), digging a pit for a social area with ping pong table and building some shelves for Camilo’s mushroom growing venture. I always felt like I knew what I needed to do and Camilo guided me on how to use tools I’d never used before. During my stay we did multiple trips to the city of Coyhaique (about 1.5 hours away) for shopping, to visit friends of Nikki & Camilo & to go for a few drinks. It was quite a busy house during my stay as 2 members of Nikki’s family were visiting for Christmas as well as 2 other Workawayers. Unfortunately the weather didn’t help sometimes (lots of wind & rain) so it was a little crowded at times but I understand this was unusual circumstances due to the weather and whenever we could, we’d be out at the ping pong table! I really enjoyed my time here & would recommend this Workaway to anyone who is comfortable with living an outdoor life and helping with all sorts of jobs. Lastly, thank you to Nikki for teaching me how to make bread, Camilo for always being keen to drink a beer with me & Esme for keeping my hair nicely brushed throughout my stay.
