Beschreibung
We are husband Kurt 61, and wife Mette 58 and live on a small farm in the countryside on the beautiful island of Bornholm. We are more or less self-sufficient with vegetables and meat as we keep both cattle, sheep and chicken and have a big garden.
It means a lot to us to grow our vegetables organic and also to live that way.
We spend a lot time outside and love to sleep in our shelter in the back of the garden. Kurt works as a tradesman and he likes to build and create things out of his own head.
Mette works as a nurse in the psychiatric ward of the local hospital.
We prefer having 2 workawayers at a time, we have experienced that it's nice to have some company if we're not around.
Most important; we are quite easygoing and want you to feel at home while you enjoy the work and your stay with us.

We have 3 children at the age of 30, 33 and 35 years. They live on their own now, but we stay in good contact with them and meet quite frequently. We like to meet new people and we are excited about opening our home to other people.

The tasks here will differ depending on the time of the year.
Most likely it would be gardening, cooking, painting, animal care and general maintainance. We are also always on the go with some new projects

Bornholm is a very beautiful place to visit and the nature varies between rocky coasts in the northern part of the island to sandy beaches in the southern part.
We live 7 km from the biggest town on Bornholm and 4 km from the coastline. It's easy to get around from where we live, we have busses passing right outside, and the cycletrack is not far from our home.
We love the nature here and hopefully our enthusiasm about it will infect our workawayers :-)
