Hi, my name is Mandy Wood, a Christian lady close to retirement age and looking for some friendly workaway's who are good company and keen to help me set up my community art space.
There is a freshly decorated DOUBLE BED ROOM waiting for you in my kauri cottage where I live - see photos. Internet is available but not for big downloads - email, skype and YouTube are fine.
I have been taking in and enjoying the company of adventurous youth from Germany and parts of Europe for many years.
Come and SHARE YOUR ARTS KNOWLEDGE AND LEARN SOME - I TEACH STAINED GLASS JEWELLERY TO MY VISITORS so you can make and take your own souvenir home.

COOKING (and cleaning) is a shared event and sometimes you will cook dinner. If you need me to teach you how to shop and cook for your holiday I will.

ABOUT ME: I am near retirement age, a Christian lady, and in the final year of my bachelor's counselling degree. I wish to help in the community provide social art party lessons for mental health, and continue to host young people from around the world.

WHAT I NEED HELP WITH: I am painting and cleaning up my shed space and home, which is a huge task, taking months on my own, but many hands make light work, and none of it is particularly hard, I just get tired easily nowadays.
SETTING UP MY GALLERY: I need help setting up the shed to become a gallery again so I can host art and craft parties.
ART AND CRAFT: I need help with ideas for 2-hour lesson plans for painting, arts and crafts.
INTERNET: I could do with some internet promotion teaching on Instagram, FB or whatever works in NZ, learning how to reach my community for mental health using social arts and crafts.
DOG: Take my little counselling therapy poodle, Mr Bean, walkies. He loves human visitors, he has a real people personality. Beany is non-allergenic and non-shedding, he likes to sit near you or possibly on your lap, and he is generally a good boy.

No pets sorry, my dog is only into people.
Please do not waste electricity or water, they are both expensive and finite.

TRANSPORT: If you don't have a car I can pick you up in Whangarei on Monday evenings only and drop you off Monday mornings only.
Dargaville does have a bus service outside of this for Monday to Friday, but not the weekends.
There are buses from Auckland to Whangarei.
In Whangarei you can enjoy the art centre and galleries next to the park and waterway walk, these are right in the middle of town near the bus station. There are supermarkets and cafes here too. I would encourage a trip to Whangarei to see this area for 2 hours or a full day.

Kann Digital Nomads unterbringen
I have enjoyed hosting digital nomade in the past (German bank internet page writer, traders, blog writers). I have ok wifi, big downloads are not possible but emails, skype and youtube work fine. I'm happy for people to work away on their computers in their own time.

You can park your car or small van such as a toyota hiace in my house carpark. Long campers or wide box vans will not fit.
