Beschreibung
Hi, we live almost in the middle of nowhere, in the Ardèche region, not too far from Valence and Privas, in an old silk factory, our two boys (19 and 23) and 4 cats.
We have many projects around the house and would like to share our space and experience.
The house is located in a natural protected valley with various kind of nice landcapes, forests, old volcanos. The beautiful Auzène river is running through our garden. -

We have many projects in and outside the house : restoring the hydro power mill, rebuilding old stone walls, landcaping meditteranean garden, chopping/piling wood, improve our organic vegetable garden (permaculture), cleaning the swimming pool, painting the shutters and so on...

Was noch ...
You have to be aware that we live rather far from towns or even villages. The closest shop, bakery, doctor... is 30' drive away. But you can hike through forests, mountains, along the river, ride a bicycle up and down the hill, swimm in the river or pool, or take a day trip to cities such as Valence, Lyon, Grenoble, or spend a couple of days in Avignon or Marseille.
We are a non smoking house. -

She is friendly and helpful, cool to work with and confortable with working alone.

Super good times with Lucie and Dillon. They are good workers and have a great sense of family and entertainment. Really pleasant to have at home. They had to fight their way out of the snow to leave the house and helped shoveling, cutting treas, etc. Not mentioning that Lucie's baking and pastry skills are quite enjoyable...

Lydia and Valentin are of the best company. We enjoyed every moment of their stay, always triying to please and give their best. They got rid of quite heavy outdoor jobs no matter of the weather (it was november !). We shared about culture,travel, FOOD ! and lots more.

Vom Host für Workawayer (Maksim)
Maksim stayed with us for (only) 2 weeks and did a terrific job !
he enjoyed working outdoors, specially cutting wood, and quickly learned to use a chainsaw.
he is strong and worked happily for hours.
He is aslo a pleasant company, speak very good english and is working hard to learn more french.

Vom Workawayer (Orion) für Host
I stayed here for three weeks. I chopped wood, played with their youngest son, moved wood, cleaned a bit, worked some in the garden, gathered mushrooms, chestnuts, and moved rocks. Vom Host für Workawayer (Orion)
Orion stayed with us for 3 weeks and helped us with many tasks around the house, like gardening, cutting wood, taking care of our youngest son... and was always patient and kind. He also did a good job learning french.

Vom Workawayer (Chris) für Host
I thoroughly enjoyed my two weeks, working and living with Lucie, Fred and their boys. They made me feel very welcome and part of the family.
I was taken on trips around the landscape (which was breathtaking), that was educational and enjoyable.
All in all, they were brilliant hosts to be with.

Had the Luck to stay with Lucie, Fred and their Boys for two weeks - Excellent Hosts.
Enjoyable work around the House & Gardens, but also good conversations with a great Family.
Last but not least: lots of nice Places to Discover around the House and around the Region.
