  Beschreibung

  The place that belongs to our family is a plot of land surrounded by water on three sides, in the outskirts of Berlin. The plot is over 1000 square meters and there are 3 houses, each 45 square meters in size. For a few years now, we have been renovating the plot in an ecological way on our own. We are currently finishing one of the houses that we have rebuilt using ecological and recycled materials. Everyone who comes to the plot finds it incredibly beautiful. You can go swimming in the morning as soon as you get up or take a walk in the forest and in the evening you can go kayaking to the Müggelsee to watch the sunset. Then you can see the sun setting on the other side of the lake behind the TV tower.
  At the moment, my mother lives on the plot, as does a friend of the family. She is 68 years old and works as an English teacher. My name is Gesa, I am 32 years old and I work as an architect. In summer, many Berliners go boating on the Spree and the Müggelsee lake; in winter, the place is more secluded and quiet, even though it officially belongs to Berlin.

  We are very happy to host people from all around the world and will be happy to welcome you in our place. We love to share dinner from time to time and work together. But please note that if you have problems being by yourself, staying at our place will be rather challenging! I am quite busy working as a freelancer, so is my mom. We offer a beautiful place, you can enjoy being in nature and still in a capital city. But the work will be rather self-reliant.

  Arbeit

  What we need is help with especially the garden. Because we were busy remodeling the house, we had no capacity to take care of the garden too. A lot of wood needs to be chopped and stacked, a new railing needs to be built on the stairs, and the garden needs to be designed. If you have any ideas about how the garden should be designed, they are very welcome!

  Unterkunft

  At the moment the house is not yet finished, so what we can offer is the guest room. It’s an independent 8 squaremeter room with bench and table outside. Toilet and shower are in the yet to be finished house. So it is not a luxury apartment! But small and cosy. You will have your own stove etc. to cook for yourself. Imagine it like a micro apartment!

  We have a garden and a fence. There are no other pets living on the plot. So dogs and cats are very welcome, or whatever pet you may have!
