House sitting and family stay in beautiful Akureyri area, Iceland

  I found somebody for June and July
  
  Hi we are a German/Icelandic family with two kids (5 and 8 years old) and live in a house just outside of Akureyri with a great view over the fjord. We also have a cat called Appelsína and three horses (the horses are not at our house).
  Akureyri and surroundings has a lot of great nature and things to explore.
  I am working as a doctor, but will be on holidays all of July. My husband is also on holidays. He is working in the local FabLab.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  You will get to know an Icelandic family and have enough possibillities to travel around the area. Akureyri is not far away (6 km) and you can use a car to get there. There are always things going on, concerts, art events and more. It also has a great swimming pool. You might also have the possibility to visit the FabLab and do some project.
  We had an Aupair living with us for one year when the kids were smaller and she really enjoyed the stay and we are stil in contact.

  Arbeit

  We are planning to travel in summer, will be sometimes at home and sometimes away and are looking for somebody to take care of the house and the cat while we are away. You should also be able to look at the horses (moving the fence and filling up the water) and there is a possibility to ride if you are an experienced rider. While we are at home it would be nice if you could also play a little bit with the kids or help in the garden.
  The house is newly build and there are still a lot of projects going on in and around the house.
  Because the kids are speaking German and need to practice it, we prefer German speekers.

  Unterkunft

  You have your own room with a double bed (140 cm) and private bathroom on a seperate floor, so it would be possible to accomodate a couple.
  
  We enjoy cooking and you are welcome to eat and cook with us while we are at home, we eat all kind of food. For the time you are house sitting you will have to buy and use your own food.
