  We are two sisters (Katie and Kim) who are from Ullapool but have gone away travelling and all come home to start our own businesses. Myself (Katie) and my partner Lawrie own a gin distillery and are busy making gin, managing our cocktail Pop-Up bar which is in the village and renovating a building which is soon to be a bar, restaurant and the relocation of the distillery. Kim and her partner Charles live on Ullapool's local estate which they run, it is a shooting and fishing estate and they also have sheep, cows etc.
  
  We have a lovely flat available and is located in the centre of Ullapool that you will stay in (purely as our houses isn't big enough as we would love to have you with us). It is a street from the shorefront of Ullapool and a lovely place to relax and explore the truly spectacular Scottish Highlands.

  Volunteers will get the chance to get to know us, our businesses and what life is like in a Scottish West Coast village. Ullapool is a small village however full of music and activity and volunteers can learn about local traditions, culture, music and dancing. We enjoy hosting and helping volunteers experience the local area and showing them what opportunities it has as well as hearing stories and experiences that they have had. Volunteers could learn about the West Coast of Scotland, Local traditions, Distilling gin and more and all from a local based family that were born here.

  Arbeit

  We need you to help with our children (Meggie and Cody) while we are running our businesses. It would be three days a week 9am-5pm and you would get beautiful accommodation and food in return.
  
  Cody is 7 months old and a very chilled baby. He loves tummy time, playing, noises, walking, books read to him, singing. Kim is still feeding him so she will be close by but he has also started on solid food so she will provide this for him. He has 3 naps a day normally in the pram.
  
  Meggie who is 2 years old. She is very relaxed and happy, she loves being outside and having fun. She loves painting, walks, the park, going to the ducks on the pond, playing in the garden, going to kids classes, anything that is done with enthusiasm and fun she's keen!
  
  We will drop the kids off at the flat (where you will stay) along with lunch for the day, this is due to it being in town and close to all the facilities. There is also lots of toys, painting, play dough etc in your house.
  
  The accommodation is next to our mums flat, Granny Jen Ben to them and they love going to see her, going to the park with her etc.

  We have a two bedroom flat in the centre of the village which looks out to the sea and harbour. The flat has been completely renovated, so it is lovely and very homely. There is two bedrooms, a bathroom (with bath and shower), open kitchen living area and entrance space.

  Ullapool is a picturesque village on the North West Coast of Scotland. Only just over an hour away from the city of Inverness means it has easy connection to the airport/train etc. We have the ferry which takes you over to the Hebrides and many outdoor opportunities on your doorstep like biking, swimming, fishing, hiking, paddle boarding etc. Ullapool has always hosted a variety of workers throughout the summer season so this is a great place to get to know new people. There is often live music on in the evenings and lots of different events.
