    ============
    From November onwards ( November is usually a mild enough month in Ireland ) we look to get ready for the next gardening season, in our veg garden.

    Next year 2025
    We are looking for garden and pet sitters in spring and summer for the time we are travelling ourselves.
    For House and Pet sitting - happy to take a family in our holidays, maybe do a house swap?!
    ============

    We are family of 4, with 2 teens, living near Killaloe, a small town, besides the River Shannon, on the Clare/Tipperary boarder 1,5 km walking distance to town and its shops, cafes and pubs.

    Generally:
    We would be delighted to host 1 or 2 able bodied people at a time, people, from any background, with a strong nature connection.
    We have 2 teen Scouts in the house.
    We all like to learn about other cultures.
    As we don't travel much ourselves it is nice to bring the world to us via visitors.
    I like to brush up on French myself.
    Our teenagers would benefit of someone teaching German.

    At the moment (December/January):
    it easier for us to host 1 person only as guest room still under construction, 1-3 weeks would work for us but we are flexible.

    So, we are generally looking for people to join our household for a minimum of a week,
    to help with our garden to get it ready for next year’s growing season.
    Digging is a great part- drainage trenches, trees, shrubs, footpaths.

    Other repairs and upgrading work, around the house -indoors/outdoors - in various weather conditions.
    Further we need help with bricklaying of a part of an indoors wall, building a carport roof and a roof for our stored fire wood and building timber.

    Bear in mind, it’s raining ☔️ a lot and the wind can be strong - it would help to bring wet gear and sturdy waterproof (hiking) shoes AND wellies. On the other hand the sun is never hiding for long ⛅️

    We are not really a farm, while some people say we are. There are some chickens, incl a rooster with attitude, 3 cats and a sheep dog.

    Overall we would like to get the place ready and safe for Forest School activities next year.
    That includes tidying a storage room, shed, garage.

    including building work, carpentry, landscaping.

    Some of the work that’s going to happen are:

    - garden: building of a foot path and a terrace.
    - drainage trenches in clay soil around shed and green house
