We're just 15 minutes away from Milton Keynes, 45 minutes from Oxford and a mere 36 minute train journey into central London and an Off–Peak day trip costs only £20.
First and foremost, if you want the best understanding for what life here is like - WE'RE BEING FILMED. As part of a mini series, we'll be featuring in a video for 12 months in 2018.

What's the farm?
Our farm is a family run livestock farm of around 140 acres. It's the home of pigs, cows, sheep, chickens and geese. All of which need to be fed, littered and looked after. Every day, for 365 days a year. At the moment, this mammoth task is done by just 2 people, my mum and grandfather...
They'd be thrilled to have some help, and that can be in lots of areas like:
Cooking / shopping
Help in the house
As talented as my mum and grandfather are at looking after hundreds of animals at once, they haven't mastered the mouse. So as of 2017, I have been left in charge of organising volunteers to the farm – I'll aim to respond to everyone as soon as I can.
Lastly, if you're interested in coming to stay with us on the farm, then please make sure you can be available for at least a month!
It can be from physical tasks like farm help- manual labour, heavy lifting and feeding large animals. I suggest if you're scared of cows, or unable to lift a 15kg feed bag you may struggle. Mum's a good teacher though!
Though it can also be cooking / housekeeping / shopping. Mum works long hours, help with these duties would also be very welcome as well.
You'll earn the right to your very own double room, with ensuite (so you don't have to share). The farm house has a log burner, hot showers and is surrounded by amazing countryside. So you can expect a comfortable room, amongst nice people with some great farm fresh food.
Extracurricular information. I am one of 4 brothers and we operate an 'open house' policy... So you'll never be short of things to do and new people to meet.
Unfortunately we're only able to accommodate one volunteer at a time - so no groups or couples please.
I think a minimum time commitment is a good idea - just on the basis that the longer you're here the more help that you'll be as you'll start to get to know how things and processes work. I think setting that to 1 month is fair – there's absolutely loads to do around the area and plenty to explore.
