Beschreibung
We are a family living in an old farmhouse surrounded by forest, in a small town in Girona (Massanes). Our household includes Oriol (11), Aina (8), the parents (Mireia and Carles), our dog Duna and two cats.
Our dream is to live closer to nature in a respectful and conscious way — learning from it, taking care of the land, and moving toward a more self-sufficient lifestyle. Our place includes a garden, a vegetable patch, a chicken coop, and about one hectare of forest that we are slowly getting to know and care for.
We’ve had the joy of being welcomed by generous people while traveling, and now we love opening our doors to others. We enjoy sharing stories, cooking together, exchanging knowledge, and simply spending time with people from different places and backgrounds. Hosting volunteers is a beautiful way for us to keep learning and growing.
We’d love to welcome people who are curious about ecological living and who want to share time and energy with us. You might join us in small-scale projects related to natural building, gardening, forest care, or looking after the house and animals — always depending on your interests and what’s going on at the time. There’s no need to have experience, just a willingness to collaborate and enjoy the process.
In return, we offer a warm and relaxed atmosphere, good food, and the chance to live immersed in nature while being part of our daily life. We’re always learning ourselves, and we look forward to learning from you too.

Somos una familia que vive en una antigua masía rodeada de bosque, en un pequeño pueblo de Girona (Massanes). En casa vivimos Oriol (11), Aina (87), los padres (Mireia y Carles), nuestra perra Duna y dos gatos.
Nuestro sueño es vivir en conexión con la naturaleza, de forma respetuosa y consciente — aprender de ella, cuidar la tierra y avanzar hacia un estilo de vida más autosuficiente. En la finca tenemos un huerto, un gallinero, un jardín y aproximadamente una hectárea de bosque que vamos conociendo y cuidando poco a poco.
Hemos tenido la suerte de ser bien recibidos por personas generosas en nuestros viajes, y ahora disfrutamos mucho abriendo las puertas de nuestra casa. Nos encanta compartir historias, cocinar, intercambiar saberes y pasar tiempo con personas de diferentes lugares y culturas. Para nosotros, acoger voluntarixs es una forma muy bonita de seguir aprendiendo y creciendo.
Nos gustaría recibir a personas con curiosidad por la vida ecológica, con ganas de compartir su tiempo y su energía con nosotrxs. Según tus intereses y lo que estemos haciendo en ese momento, puedes acompañarnos en tareas sencillas relacionadas con la bioconstrucción, el huerto, el cuidado del bosque, el mantenimiento de la casa o de los animales. No hace falta experiencia previa, solo ganas de colaborar y disfrutar del proceso.
A cambio, ofrecemos un ambiente cálido y relajado, buena comida, y la oportunidad de vivir inmersx en la naturaleza, formando parte de nuestra vida cotidiana. También nosotrxs estamos en constante aprendizaje, y tenemos muchas ganas de aprender de ti.

In our house you can enjoy living in the middle of nature, in a very quiet place, far from pollution. Although we are in a rural area, we have quite a social life with neighbors from other farmhouses. We often celebrate meetings, meals, outings... where you will be welcome!!

En nuestra casa podréis disfrutar de vivir en plena naturaleza, en un lugar muy tranquilo, lejos de la contaminación.
Aunque estamos en una zona rural, tenemos bastante vida social con vecinos de otras masías. A menudo celebramos encuentros, comidas, salidas…en las que seréis bienvenidos!!

Arbeit
We are currently looking for 1 or 2 people to join us. There are a variety of tasks you might help with, depending on your interests and the time of year. These include:
Natural building with clay, wood, and recycled materials
Gardening and caring for the vegetable patch
Help with diy and the chicken coop
Tidying and maintaining the garden area
Light forest tasks: clearing paths, collecting firewood, forest care
We usually ask for around 4–5 hours of help per day, 5 days a week, always with flexibility and in a relaxed atmosphere.
One of our goals as a family is to improve our English, and we’d love for our children to be exposed to it naturally. That’s why we really value spending time with our guests — sharing meals, chatting, and learning from one another.

Actualmente estamos buscando a 1 o 2 personas que quieran unirse a nosotros. Hay distintas tareas en las que puedes colaborar, según tus intereses y la época del año. Algunas de ellas son:
Bioconstrucción con barro, madera y materiales reciclados
Trabajo en el huerto y cuidado del jardín
Renovación del gallinero
Organización y mantenimiento del espacio exterior
Tareas ligeras en el bosque: limpieza de caminos, recogida de leña, cuidado del entorno forestal
Solemos pedir unas 4–5 horas de ayuda al día, 5 días a la semana, siempre con flexibilidad y en un ambiente relajado.
Uno de nuestros objetivos como familia es mejorar nuestro inglés, y también que nuestrxs hijxs puedan aprenderlo de forma natural. Por eso valoramos mucho compartir momentos con nuestras visitas: charlar, cocinar, comer juntos... y aprender unxs de otrxs.

Unterkunft
Our priority is to reform a space in the house for the future accommodation of guests. In the meantime we offer our caravan as accommodation.
We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. We can make dinner together and the rest of the meals will be free, although we will provide you with food for all meals.

Nuestra prioridad es reformar un espacio de la casa para el futuro alojamiento de los huéspedes. Mientras tanto ofrecemos nuestra caravana como alojamiento.
Ofrecemos desayuno, comida y cena.
La cena podemos hacerla juntos y el resto de comidas, serán por libre, aunque os proporcionaremos los alimentos para todas las comidas.

Nuestra casa está cerca de la estación de tren. A media hora de distancia de Gerona y de la playa y a una hora de Barcelona.
Os dejamos bicicletas para poder desplazaros.

Llegó con poca experiencia pero buena actitud y muchas ganas de aprender.
Tuvimos poco tiempo pero nos ayudó bastante en la limpieza del bosque y del jardín, con la bioconstrucción, e incluso cuidó de nuestro hijo cuando no pudo ir al colegio!
