Help us create a mini eco-village surrounded by a natural forest, near Mugron, in Southwestern France

  Welcome to our little paradise!
  
  We live not far from the center of a small town (easily accessible on foot or by bike in less than 10min) and we have the chance to be surrounded by a natural forest (oak, chestnut, hazelnut, acacia,...).
  
  Our short term project : to build our first house (with wood and straw)
  Our middle term project : to build a garden forest
  Our very long-term goal is to build a mini tourist village there with two houses, a workshop, cabins in the woods, kerterre, a large greenhouse, a natural swimming pool,...
  
  We are Charlotte and Mehdi, a young couple of 35 years old.
  Mehdi is a carpenter-joiner-designer of eco-label houses and a great autodidact.
  Charlotte is a veterinarian and also practices animal osteopathy.
  
  We live on the land in a mobile home and caravan while the first house is being built. We are about 1 hour from the beach and the mountain.

  We have a lot of friends and passage on the ground. Fiesta and participatory construction sites are regularly scheduled

• 

  Arbeit

  As we both work and not being there on certain days of the week, we prefer to welcome TWO helpers at the same time. If you come alone; you will share with another helper a large caravan with two large separate beds.
  
  We would like people staying for a minimum of 2 weeks. It' the time needed to show you the 'routine stuff', 'our specials needs for the month' and to let you involve in autonomy when are not at home.
  
  We would like help 5 hrs per day, with breaks in between, 5 days per week.
  
  Our specials needs for October and November 2025
  - To build the STRAW WALL, and his coating (lime and sand)
  - maintenance of green spaces : we need people to mow, to clear brambles, clean the garden...
  - animals care (goats, sheep, and chiken) : we need people to feed them, to clean there houses, to maintain there fences...
  - help for the daily tasks : preparing the meals, cleaning,...

  Unterkunft

  We cannot accommodate people with children or pets as we have animals here.
  
  We both work and not being there on certain days of the week, we prefer to welcome TWO helpers at the same time. If you come alone; you will share with another helper a large caravan with two large separate beds.
  
  We have places to set up tents in the meadow.
  
  We provide you with sheets, blankets and towels.

  Was noch ...

  The nearests airports are Bordeaux, Biarritz and Pau. There is a wide choice of local, national and international buses and trains. We can meet you at the nearest train station.
  
  Please note, we do not have Television.
  No internet box, no WIFI, we only use the connections of our phones (we pick up 4G+ very well)
  
  We cannot accommodate people with children or pets as we have animals here.
  
  It is important that everyone has a suitable visa and health/accident insurance in place.
  
  We are not medically trained to deal with any health issues or help anyone who is taking any form of medication, suffering from depression or similar, or addiction.
  
  For health and safety reasons you must speak a little English or French.We do not practice sign language but we are open to the deaf and mute. But unfortunately we do not have disabled access.
  
  If you think this might suit you, please write to us explaining how you think your skills, personality and experience would be helpful to us, but we also gladly accept those without particular skills, motivation is enough for us :).
