  We are a prime ocean front hotel located in Nicaragua on the pacific coast. We strive to create a happy enjoyable environment for our staff and guests alike! Our focus is on people learning to surf.
  
  We have been here for 8 years now, and have taught all of our local team some English, as well as various working skills which they apply daily. We have had the same team for 8 years since we opened, and have built a really strong relationship with them and the local community, so it is really important to us that you also want to integrate and immerse yourself into local life !
  
  We employ 9 people from the local community in a 5 bedroom hotel.
  Their roles include cleaning, cooking, gardening and security.
  
  They are always open and excited about learning any new skills in gardening/horticulture and cooking!

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Immerse yourself in the local community, we run several non profit initiatives such as mass animal spay clinics which are funded by outside donations.
  
  You are encouraged to learn about these initiatives and engage and educate guests on how they can help us to continue with these projects with donations which all benefit the local community. You will be able to help up execute these clinics for the locals in town. It is a free initiative for them so we usually get around 65 animals needing various veterinary care.
  
  Aside from this we also run a lifesaving tuition class weekly for local kids to join. It is a programme we have set up to teach them about ocean safety and rescue. Given that this is a fishing village, they not only take these skills home to their families but they can also put into practice at the beach. Every year during public holidays there are unfortunate incidents involving people from the city swimming under the influence of alcohol in waves they don’t understand. These local kids who have done the course have already put their skills to use! You can help educate and teach these classes with us to spread even more ocean safety awareness!
  
  We help a local organisation with a small turtle hatchery and release
  Programme. You can get involved with helping them run the release evenings, educating paying guests on interesting facts and information, working with the locals from the hatchery to organise release evenings.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for a ISA qualified surf Instructor for January and February 2025.
  
  Maximum time spent in the water with guests - 4 hours daily split into 2 surfs. 4 hours of theory per week for surf retreat guests.
  
  You will have plenty of time to explore and travel. You will get 2 days off per week and work a maximum of 4 hours daily.
