***ONLY SOLO TRAVELERS - NO COUPLES NO GROUP OF FRIENDS
***We are a small social hostel (18 beds) so we only accept solo travelers, where instantly you will be able to make friends.
*** WE ARE NOT A PARTY HOSTEL OR HEAVY DRINKING PLACE, so we are not looking for an entertainer or pub crawl leader.
Our hostel is located inside our four-generation family home, which was destroyed during the last war in the 1990s. We worked really hard to renovate the house that has a special place in our hearts, so it's not an any ordinary hostel.
Your duties will include:
Help with housekeeping (changing beds, cleaning common areas, corridors, bathrooms)
Reception duties - no nights shifts or early mornings
Socializing with guests

Being born and raised in city of Mostar, you will have great access to anything you are interested regarding our culture, history, food ect.

Arbeit
Daily tasks will de divided into 2 shifts, it is always possible to get a day off, you just need to communicate your requirements to us.
Accommodation in a dormitory with other volunteers, free breakfast and lunch or dinner every day.
Free coffee, tea and weekly laundry. There is so much to see around Mostar, so in your free time, you can hike, swim on one of the many rivers or lakes around the city or take a trip to another city or town. -

Mostar is a beautiful town located in the Hercegovina region. We are blessed with an amazing climate with over 200 sunny days a year, which means most days you can plan something nice. Around the city, there are 5–6 rivers that can be easily reached, and there are at least 4–5 nice hikes. Our capital, Sarajevo, is two and a half hours away, and you can take one of the most beautiful train rides there and back for less than 10 euros. This box is a little too short for all my ideas and recommendations, so come and you won't leave disappointed.

Tanya was helping us for just over 3 weeks and she was amazing. I really don't have words to describe how responsible she was regarding all the tasks. We were really sad to let her go.

Working at Taso's Guest House was my first workaway experience. It was great to feel that my help was genuinely needed and appreciated the three weeks I spent there. I really enjoyed getting to know Mostar, both people and place, and hope to return one day.

Taso is a great guy and a great host, always wanting to make you feel comfortable. He took us to a football game, to the flea market, he cooked for us.
The help is not hard, just keeping the place clean and helping the guests.
Mostar is a beautiful city, with so many things to do.
I highly recommend Taso and Mostar to everybody!

Ian was one of the most responsible people that ever volunteered with us. I can only say great things about him. He stayed with us for few weeks and he was really serious regarding tasks in the hostel. Even that he is only 18 he is very mature and responsible for his age and i can only highly recommend him as a volunteer.

This was my first workaway experience and I loved it. Taso is such a friendly and hospitable guy and will go out of his way to make sure you are happy and comfortable. The work is not hard and mostly involved you socialising with guests and keeping the place tidy which is easy since it is small and homely. See you next year Taso!
