  INTRODUCTION
  I participate in a network of street cat feeders & caretakers that attempt to get the cats off the streets and neutered, temporarily housed and hopefully adopted. Looking for someone that wants to visit LA but will be responsible for the feeding and care of the animals.
  
  There is currently (1) full time young cat (recently rescued) at this address and a community cat that stops by and eats/sleeps several times a week. The young cat is full of energy and wants affection & play time when ever she can get it. The older community cat just wants to rest/sleep for the day before going out at night to defend his territory. In addition, I supply food and medicine to other street cats on this block.
  
  TERMS & CONDITIONS
  • We can not accept any stays unless all parties participating in the stay are ID Verified through this site. Your name will have a green check mark and your profile will get a "badge" for the verification.
  
  • All Workaway requests to stay at this location acknowledge and accept that their profile info will be forwarded to a 3rd party for approval.
  
  • All approved Workaway travelers agree and consent that their image pics will be forwarded to Property Management for on-site identification.
  
  • Only Workaway travelers that are currently approved for specific stay dates can remain overnight for the approved stay period.
  
  • Visitors are allowed but no more than (5) people in total (including the approved Workaway travelers) are allowed in this unit or on the property at any time. Visitors are not allowed to stay overnight without prior approval and for no more than a combined total of (2) nights per any (7) consecutive calendar days.
  
  • There is no smoking or vaping of any kind in the unit but smoking is allowed in the 2nd Floor Stairwell and Common Areas. If other tenants complain about the smoking activity it must be terminated or relocated immediately.
  
  • Noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times to avoid disturbing other tenants or neighbors. If other tenants or neighbors complain about the noise then those activities must be terminated immediately.
  
  • You can not bring any personal pets or other animals of any kind on the property for this stay. It doesn't matter if your pets are OK with other animals, these are housed street cats, not domestic pets, and they see other animals as threats to their territory and life.
  
  • No personal items can be stored in the unit after your exit date. Any items left inside the unit after your exit date will be placed outside on the property in an unsecured location for (24) hours for you to pick up. If the items are still present after (24) hours they will be donated to a 501(c)(3) charitable organization or placed in the dumpster for trash removal.
  
  • The building or unit address may not be used as your official USPS mailing address. You may use it for package deliveries only during your confirmed stay dates. If a package arrives after your exit date with a postmark prior to you leaving it will be accepted and held for (5) business days only if we get your request to accept and hold through the Workaway messaging system. If you do not provide authorization to accept and hold the package through the Workaway messaging system or you do not pick up the package within (5) business days it will be donated to a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Any other deliveries not meeting the above criteria will be refused with a Return to Sender.
  
  • By confirming your stay and arriving to move in, all parties confirm they have read, understand, and fully agree to all terms, conditions, and requirements as stated in this Workaway host listing plus any other terms & conditions agreed upon using the Workaway messaging system.
  
  CURRENT STATUS (updated)
  This unit is possibly available from Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 to Saturday, May 23rd, 2026. There are currently (6) pending stay requests which are evaluated on a first come first assigned basis so any stay inquiries will be placed in queue and all parties will be notified once a decision is made. Let us know if you can travel on short notice and would like to act as a backup Workawayer in case the currently assigned parties default.

  Los Angeles is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world, with over 140 nationalities and 224 languages spoken. There are events going on almost every week/weekend somewhere in Los Angeles. Search the Los Angeles event calendars to find what interests you.
  
  I would personally suggest you visit Venice Beach at least once. It features street performers, artists, and a boardwalk constantly in motion. It's also famous for attractions like Muscle Beach and its blend of fitness, art, and bohemian lifestyle.

  I travel for work so looking for an individual or couple that want to stay in a Los Angeles 1-bedroom unit at no cost but in return will be responsible for feeding the animals.
  
  The indoor & indoor/outdoor cat take about 10 minutes in the morning and dinner time to feed and clean/fill the water dish. The litter box needs to be scooped every day or two. The indoor cat(s) appreciate any time you can give them for affection and/or play and both of them usually sleep from about 11am to 6pm.
  
  It will take 20-30 minutes to prep & place food at the feed locations for the street cats. They hide for safety during the day so they get food placed twice each night, once 30-minutes after sunset (dusk) and the second time about 4-hours after that. The food drop times don't have to be precise but consistency helps.
  
  There's also a Humming bird feeder that will need to be cleaned and refilled every 3-4 days depending on the weather. It only takes about 5-10 minutes to do that.
  
  You'll be given a quick property orientation and tour when we meet on the 1st day of your stay and you will be provided detailed instructions w/pics, a map for food drops, and phone numbers for the backup feeder network in the neighborhood in case of emergency.

  This is a 1-Bedroom unit in the Mid-City neighborhood of Los Angeles. It's about 500sq-ft in a (7) unit building. The building and units are SoCal "Ding Bat" architecture. The unit is simple and functional, nothing fancy, but usable. The bedroom has a full size bed on one side of the room so appropriate for one person or a couple and a home office setup on the other side of the room. The bedroom has air conditioning but the living room is setup with window fans only. There is no smoking of any kind in this unit or building.
  
  This is a Blue Collar residential area within a 5-10 minute walk of just about every type of restaurant, store, and service you need including major Metro (Public Transportation) stops. It's within an 8 mile radius of LAX, the West Side beaches (Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Rey), Hollywood, and DTLA (Down Town Los Angeles).
  
  There is street parking for anyone with a car but it can be difficult to find a spot and sometimes impossible to find one nearby if you are looking to park after 3-5pm when people start returning home from work for the night.

  Los Angeles has a reasonable Public Transportation system and you can reach almost all areas. It's also known for its bad drivers, traffic jams and no parking so renting a car is optional unless you want to visit areas not covered by public transportation. I can supply detailed instructions if you want to take Public Transportation to/from LAX.
  
  WAYMO driverless vehicles cover many areas of Los Angeles, but not all, and if you've never ridden in a driverless vehicle you should give it a try. WAYMO does not currently have authorization to Dropoff or Pickup at LAX so can't be used for that.
  
  All authorized ride-sharing airport pick ups occur at the LAX-it Lot located east of Terminal 1. Passengers must either walk or take a shuttle to this designated area after arriving at the airport .
  
  Only the ride-sharing companies Uber, Lyft, and Opoli are authorized to drop off riders curbside at the airport terminals when flying out of LAX.

  Fat Orange Cat

  This is a true Community cat. Several households provide shelter and food for him. He seems to like my food and/or company better because this cat shows up here 5-6 days a week to eat and sleep during the day before he goes out at night to defend his street from other cats.

  

  Crazy Kitty

  This was a starving street cat I brought inside on February 6th, 2026 after observing it scratching on neighboring house doors and windows meowing for food. I'm hoping to find her a permanent home sometime this year. She craves attention and play time with an abundance of energy because of her young age.
