… read more a true hidden gem in the Czech mountains! The village has a unique, idyllic atmosphere, surrounded by vast flower fields, hills, and forests with interesting rock formations. The area is well connected by both buses and trains, making it perfect for spending slow summer days and admiring sunsets from the top of a hill. Jana was a fantastic host; she is an experienced and intelligent person, always willing to share a chat with me over tea while enjoying the terrace. I took care of Ester, a lovely and energetic girl. Spending time with them was a pure pleasure. Jana even traveled with me around the area, showing me many hidden spots. The relaxing atmosphere of the house and the beautiful surroundings made my stay an unforgettable experience! This is my first workaway experience and I have the best time with Jana, Jindra, Ester and kittens!! we spent two weeks together in Chotěvice and Náchod. It was a great pleasure having Mike and John arnd. They were a big help building a raise bed in the garden...playing footbal with kids and just being...We had some fun moments. thank you, boys:)

Volunteering at Jana's house was an all round great experience, we were able to learn more about permaculture and building whilst getting to know Jana and her two boys Madi and Indra. Unfortunately we could only stay for a week as we were looking for a long term place but the time we got to spend with Jana and her family was time well spent. We
… read more were able to take part in some events such as automatic drawing and a music event which was all in Czech and German so we couldnt understand it but we loved it nonetheless. Jana is very accomodating, a lovely host with a lovely home and she cooks amazing food all day! We would definitely recommend this workaway experience to everybody. … read more freedom which made us enjoy our work even more!! We exchange ideas and opinions, sharing our cultures, and learning from each other traditions! We cooked so many delicious dishes together, some Czcech and some Southamerican!
They live in a town called Nachod that is located 3 hours away from Prague, its a small town but with beautiful woods around where we even went to pick up some mushrooms that we used to prepare traditional southamerican "empanadas"!
