I am a retired American sailing my 13 meter sailboat around the world. I seek one crew preferably with some sailing experience to assist in sailing from Fiji to New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Australia, departing in April or May, 2022. My insurance requires that I have one crew on board for longer passages.
"Gillean" is a clean, safe monohull. I have been sailing her for eleven years and have voyaged 35,000 nautical miles, visiting two dozen countries and calling on more than 250 islands. I am looking for volunteer crew. I pay all boat expenses and provide meals, you pay for your transportation to/from the boat.
Dates of travel and destinations are subject to evolving covid-19 travel restrictions, so flexibility with routes and time on board are required. You also need a valid passport good through 2022 and have official proof of covid-19 vaccination.

Interaction with a liberal, tolerant, well educated retired American wiling to teach ocean sailing.
Your tasks are to stand a watch and assist with sailing, food preparation and cleanup and some general maintenance/cleaning. Non-smokers only and no recreational drug use. In return, you receive sailing instruction, if desired, offshore miles and experience to add to your resume.

A small cabin with limited stowage for personal gear.
I pay all boat expenses and provide meals, you pay for your transportation to/from the boat.You will have your own (small) cabin. If you are a woman, I can provide references (e-mail addresses) from prior female crew on request.
