We had such a lovely time staying with Vicky and Matt in South Somerset for a week in February. The family was so welcoming and kind and we immediately felt comfortable right from the start. Since it was our first ever Workaway-experience we are so glad that it turned out to be this wonderful. The tasks were easy to manage and the time schedule
… read more was very flexible as well. We did most of our tasks outside, but also got to spend some time with the lovely daughters, who were so talkative and open towards us. (We miss the two girls already) We especially enjoyed the small trip we went to with Vicky and Kimina to see the beautiful coastline and explore the small town Lyme Regis. We are also so grateful for the lifts they gave us when we needed them! If there is any possibility in the near future we would love to return and visit you guys again.🥰

I had two wonderful weeks with this family! It was my first Workaway-experience, and I'm so happy that it turned out to be with them.
Both Vic, Matt and their lovely daughters were super friendly, and their house felt like my home too directly! I had my own room, close to a shared toilet and were sleeping so good! I did mostly outdoor tasks, such
… read more as painting and weeding, but they were very open and asked me if it was any particular I wanted to do/didn't want to do etc. At my spare time I went for walks, went to the town center for a coffeé, or were playing with the girls. They were used to visitors, and started to talk and play with me imidiately.
Vic and Matt also invided me to join family activities, so except activities around Crewkerne we went to the sea twice (and saw dolphines!), went on a short hike, and visited their friends on a camp site and had a barbeque.

… read more Vicky and Abigail. It was a pleasure to hear stories of travels and life from Vicky, with whom we had hours of very interesting conversations. On the other hand, it was a delight when we had to take care of Abi, who is a very friendly and lovely girl. We adored her!
While we had lunch by our own, we all had dinner with all the family and really enjoyed both the chats and the delicious home made meals.
Our accommodation was a very comfortable room, with everything we need to feel like home.
We helped them with some stuff at home, like cleaning and tidying, as well as some work at the garden and Vickys father's.
Despite Crewkerne is not very well connected by public transport, Vicky and Matt were always ready to give us lifts to different places and we also visited some beautiful landscapes together. We are still grateful for this!

Paula and Matias did a variety of jobs around the house and garden and also effortlessly entertained and looked after our 2 year old daughter, Abigail, who absolutely adored them! Reuben is also an excellent and very competent cook and prepared several delicious meals for us all during his stay. He is conscientious and proactive and used his initiative when it came to general household chores. Reuben is great with children and effortlessly entertained our daughter Abigail who took a real liking to him and thoroughly enjoyed his company and all the attention.
Reuben is polite, easy going and unobtrusive. He is an intelligent lad, easy to talk to with a great sense of humour and we enjoyed many relaxed conversations. We all very much appreciated having Reuben around and highly recommend him to other Workaway hosts. He is more than welcome back here any time!
