  Dog lover to help with house sitting in beautiful Sibbarp for 3 weeks in July, Sweden
  
  We are going on holiday from the 15th to the 25th of July, so there will be 10 days where you are alone with the responsibility of the animals. We would like you to arrive 1-2 weeks before we go away so that you can get to know Kenzo and the other animals a little before hand and learn their routines.
  While we are away support will be available to you. We have a livery horse together with our 3 horses, the owner Tilla is a veterinary and comes to her horse almost every day. She will be able to help if anything happens or if you have questions. We also have our friends Paola and Linda who live close by and know our animals well and can help if needed, so you will not be totally alone.
  This is not a position where you work a specific amount of hours as the animals need their care every day and hanging out with Kenzo is the main job, but before we go on holiday you are of course free to have days off to go on adventures. Kenzo would like to be outside for 2-4 hours a day. The horse chores take about 30 minutes a day.

  With many animals it is not always so easy when we want to go on vacation, but luckily workaway exists and we get the chance to offer someone a holiday in our home while we go away.
  Come and sample some Swedish country living in the company of our dog Kenzo , our cat and four horses, in our tiny farmhouse in beautiful Halland County, Sweden, 20 minutes drive from the historical towns and picturesque beaches of Varberg and Falkenberg.
  
  Monika is Norwegian and is fluent in Norwegian, English, German and Swedish/Norwedlish. Her work and life is centred on horses and works as a trainer and instructor, spending most weekends from March to November away in various Northern European locations teaching at riding clinics. During the week she trains the horses, walks the dog, trains karate, rides her Ducati's and drinks coffee. She loves karate, MotoGP, Ducati motorcycles, Italian wine and food, adventures and fun.
  
  Jim is an English Graphic Designer (fluent in English, football, guitars and motorcycles) working for a company in Varberg. Jim travels abroad for work frequently to places like Canada, the USA, Japan and Europe. This is nowhere near as glamorous as it sounds.
  
  We are primarily looking for a person with dog experience who likes long hikes, a little dog training and activation and outdoor time together with Kenzo. Kenzo is a 2 year old Belgian Malinois mix, he is a playful and active dog and needs exercise, play and a little training every day. He also likes sleeping on the sofa and cuddling after his adventures. Your main task will be hanging out with Kenzo. You will have a car available to you to be able to go and check out all the nice national forests in our area. Dog experience, and preferably experience of working dogs and dog training is a must. Kenzo is not a difficult dog, he is very kind and playful with a good temper and able to chill, but he is still a big working dog that can get stressed or excited in some situations. So experience and interest in dog handling and training is a must. You need to be calm and assertive, not get anxious or stressed easily and be able to feel happy in your own and the animals company.
  
  Other tasks will be looking to the horses at the summer field and giving them water and moving grazing fences. No riding as the horses will have summer holiday in July, but you can cuddle and groom to your hearts content and hang out with them if you like that.
  We also have a cat that would like some food and care, but he is often out on adventures in the summer.
  Some watering in the garden might also be needed.
  
  
  
  Since we are out in the countryside without any bus connections, a full drivers licence is a must.
  Life here really is very quiet; if you're self-reliant, like being surrounded by nature and animals, love settling down with a good book or are content to cosy down with a TV series or a movie in the evening, this is the place for you!
  
  We would be thrilled for you to come and spend some time with us, and once we are gone enjoy the company of Kenzo and the other animals. We like to think we are pretty chilled out and relaxed. We love good food and wine and eat healthily. Love and kindness are what guide us through life and if that makes us sound like dreadful hippies then we can live with that. Laughter and a warm vibe are central to our house and home, so we hope that we can have a nice time together here while you settle in, and that you will feel at home here while we are away.

  While we are home this is a chance to practice your language skills in English, Norwegian or German. We speak English in the home but Monika will happily drop into any language that takes her fancy.
  
  This is also an opportunity to experience lots of outdoor life with animals, go for hikes and enjoy nature.
  
  And of course, Sweden. Really, it's beautiful here. There are plenty of culturally interesting places to visit and we are not far from the bright lights of Gothenburg.

  Unterkunft

  Your own bedroom with a desk, night stand and a view out across the fields, a reeded pond and the forest beyond that.
  
  Breakfast and lunch are usually a bit on-the-fly so dive into the fridge (well-stocked) and help yourself. We will have a sit-down meal every evening while we are home.

  Varberg is the centre for surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing in Sweden. There are plenty of historical and heritage sites in the area - castles, fortresses and archaeological ruins - as well as museums and exhibitions. There are plenty of hiking trails and nature reservations to enjoy together with Kenzo. and the of course, we are only a one hour drive or train ride from big city life in Gothenburg - bars, restaurants, clubs, concerts, museums, galleries and Liseberg amusement park.
