Beschreibung
Live in your own tiny home and help a family with chores around the home or property. We are a three generation household on a small rural property near Yengo and Wollemi national parks in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
We tend a small patch of bushland and have a flock of chickens and a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats.
We recently added 10 rescue laying hens to our flock and are enjoying watching them discover dust baths and free-ranging.
Being so close to wilderness, our place would suit those wanting to enjoy bushwalking or a quiet rural lifestyle.
Chores to choose from include gardening, bush regeneration, painting, building, cooking and kitchen chores. -

We live close to bushland and go on bushwalks regularly - so visitors would learn about the Australian bush (including wildlife and native plants).
Wallabies and other wildlife visit regularly - so guests would get a chance to experience Australian wildlife up close.
Our family are active Landcare members. Guests may get a chance to join Landcare meetings and help with tree planting.
Our home is a solar-passive sustainable home. It and the way we live would be of interest to someone wanting to experience sustainable living. -

There are lots of projects to choose from, so you can choose chores that most interest you or match your experience.
Depending on prioritioes at the time, chores may include:
*Gardening.
*Painting
*Tree planting and bush regeneration.
*Renovating and building chores.
*Cooking family meals. -

Unterkunft
You will stay in your own tiny home. It is a self-contained cottage with a double bed, kitchenette and bathroom. It suits a single or couple (or a small family at a squeeze. Three of us lived in there while we built our home). You can join us in the family home for dinner in the evenings and we provide breakfast and lunch for you to eat in your self-contained cottage.

In your time off, you are close to Hunter Valley vinyards for wine tasting and nearby national parks for bushwalking.
We have bicycles for you to borrow or are happy to drive you to a nearby train station at Singleton where you can catch a train into Newcastle. -
