Stay with me in a big comfy flat and do some cat sitting in Berlin, Germany

  I am a friendly American (51 years old, she/her) in Berlin looking for a Covid-cautious, English-speaking person (or couple) to stay with me and my cats from 25 March until 5 April (this can be extended a few days earlier or later, just these days minimum), in exchange for doing a few minor tasks each day . I’m disabled due to ME/CFS, and can’t do these tasks myself. My husband will be here until the evening of the 26th to give you keys and make sure you have everything you need.
  
  I won't be able to provide food for you. But there is a nice big grocery store (Rewe) right next door, and you'll have full access to the kitchen. Of course, there are plenty of places that deliver, and tons of restaurants to explore. If you would like to cook for me as well, that's a huge bonus, and then of course, I'll pay for groceries.
  
  I am at Roederplatz in Lichtenberg, with 5 different tram lines running in front of the building, 4 stops to the Ringbahn, and the trendy areas of Friedrichshain and Prenzlauerberg are also just a few stops away. I live in the 10th floor (with an elevator, of course). The flat is about 90 qm, 4 rooms (3 bedrooms). There are two rooms for you to use. The first is the “guest room” which is about 11 qm with a fold-out sofa that is 140 cm, but more comfortably sleeps one person, and a table/desk and chair. The second room is about 16 qm with a bed that is 160cm.
  
  If you want to stay longer than the days listed, that’s possible, but then you’d only be able to stay in one of the rooms. Of course, there’s wifi, and 2 adorable cats. There is a cleaning person who comes twice per month. You will have your own keys to come and go as you please.
  
  As far as being "Corona-cautious,” I have an autoimmune disease, and I’d like to be as safe as possible. So, I'd prefer to host someone who is not clubbing or going to huge parties, and who will wear a mask on public transportation or indoor events as much as possible. I can provide masks if you'd like. If you are a smoker, I ask that you smoke on the balcony, and not in any other rooms.
  
  As for me, I'm a singer and performer, and a former teacher, but now mostly housebound due to disability. I have a weird sleep schedule, so you might not see that much of me. I'm very open-minded, and have strong opinions about social justice. I'm happy to have conversations about all kinds of topics. We can also hang out and watch a movie or play a game, if you’re not too busy exploring Berlin!

  You are free to explore Berlin and have a safe, comfortable home base. Our flat is at Roederplatz, directly in front of 5 different tram lines. It's a short ride to the "ring bahn" (the subway that goes in a ring around Berlin. It's also 4 or 5 tram stops to trendy areas in Friedrichshain and Prenzlauerberg

  HELPING ME:
  
  -I will need you to refill the Brita water filter once per day.
  
  -This will probably not happen, but if I accidentally drop something, I may need you to clean it up, because I can't bend over to the floor
  
  -If you're around, I might ask you to refill some water bottles, or open or close a window, turn a light on, or other little things
  
  -I may ask you to put my dishes in the dishwasher, and when it is full, to run the dishwasher, and maybe we can put the dishes away together
  
  -take out the trash as needed
  
  
  THE CATS:
  
  The black cat is named Entropy and the grey cat is named Chaos
  
  • Windows: please only open windows that have cat nets in them!
  
  • Feeding: The cat food can be found in the cabinet in the kitchen, closest to the balcony door. Each morning, please open one full-sized can of cat food and split it between two plates. For the evening, two packets (in the plastic pouches), one on each plate, OR dry food (about 200 grams)
  
  • Kitty Litter: There are 3 litter boxes in the flat. The kitty litter can be found in the blue cabinet that also holds the dishes in the bottom left. The small plastic bags for disposal are in the last drawer in the kitchen. Each day, scoop out the excrement and put it in the bag. This can be thrown in the “general trash.” The kitty litter should be about 3 centimeters deep. If it gets too shallow, please refill it.
  
  • Water: Change their water at least every second day, and wash the water dish.
  
  • Playing: Please play with the cats at least twice a day, preferably more. Chaos LOVES to play! Entropy is more calm, but he might join in sometimes. Sometimes they’ll only play for a few minutes, but this interaction is important for them.

  Our place is 90 square meters (968 sq ft). The flat is on the 10th floor with elevator and can be reached in a wheelchair. You'll have access to: kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms and a split bathroom with bathtub and shower. We have a small balcony off the kitchen. There is a large supermarket right next door. You will be providing your own food. We have a cleaner who comes every 2 weeks. He has his own keys, and we'll certainly let you know when he is expected. We have made some "do not disturb" signs in case you are working or sleeping in one of the rooms when he comes to clean.
