Help us with our orchard and natural building projects in the mountains of Cyprus

  We are Theo and Kim, a Cypriot-Canadian couple living on a beautiful piece of land passed down from Theo's giagia. The orchard was abandoned for almost 10 years until we accidentally ended up in Cyprus in 2020.
  
  We are slowly caretaking the land with regenerative principles, as our time and work allow. We're looking for experienced people to help with multiple land-based projects, including building dry rock walls, natural building projects, cleaning overgrown areas, felling dead trees and mulching. We've had a hiatus from our land projects since May 2025 when we simultaneously started a major DIY house rebuild and got pregnant (we now have a beautiful little girl as part of our crew!).
  
  Our piece of land has views of Troodos (the highest peak in Cyprus) and the Soleas Valley. The land ends in a river, where we have a private swimming hole. We have somewhere around 70 fruit trees, many ducks and four cats.
  
  We love spending time outside, whether it's rock climbing, highlining, freediving, or doing acrobatics, juggling and handbalancing in the park.
  
  Right now we are looking for people to help with general land caretaking. Ideally someone, or a couple, who is able to take initiative and doesn't mind spending time alone. Kim is full-time caring for our baby and Theo is full-time working on the house rebuild and so we likely won't be as sociable as we were in the past with workawayers. Bonus if you also like babies!

  Theo grew up spending weekends on this land helping his grandpa take care of the orchard. We're very connected to Cypriot culture and Kim has learned many of the traditional ways of preserving harvests over the last 3 years. We are very open people that love to meet and share with others -- as active people, we especially love movement-based exchanges.

  Unterkunft

  We used to host in the house we are currently rebuilding, but now there is a small caravan available. I also used to cook for workawayers but now with the baby I would prefer for the workawayer to be more self sufficient with making their own food and having shared meals 1-2 times per week.
