  I'm in my 30's and live on an acreage on the side of a mountain 15 minutes south of Golden BC. My partner and I became care takers of the land in Sept 2023 and it's been an adventure since! I love being outside and playing in the mountains, whether it's climbing, skiing, exploring, or just soaking in the natural beauty in a body of water. I work in the non-profit sector, focusing on community development, which is really fulfilling for me.
  
  Life here is pretty wild – we used to have kitty cats, but unfortunately, they've all been taken by larger predators. We still have seven chickens! Despite that, I still find a lot of joy in this place and I'm working on making it even better. I value balance in life, and my mountain home is a big part of that for me.

  Arbeit

  I'm looking for Workawayers to help build some infrastructure on the property, like finishing renovations on our cabin or creating and building a fenced garbage area to mitigate wildlife encounters. If you enjoy being in nature and working on hands-on projects, you'll probably love it here as much as I do.
  
  Other duties would include lawn maintenance (gardening, weeding, cutting grass, etc.), clearing brush from the water line and harvesting!
  
  We're looking for hard working folks who equally enjoy play and laughter.

  Unterkunft

  If you're two people, we will have a campsite set up for you near our home with a separate washroom space.
  
  If you're solo, you'll share the main home with my partner and I. Or you'll have a separate loft or cabin to live in.
  
  Where you stay is dependent on time of year and status of home builds.
  
  We'll buy groceries for our workawayers to enjoy three healthy meals a day. Fresh eggs, and anything from the garden will be available to you at any time. Meals will be shared sometimes: sometimes we'll make dinner or lunches, sometimes we'll ask for the Workawayers to contribute meals, and sometimes we'll eat separately. We'll decide this as we flow through our days! We'll also discuss this at the beginning of your stay to meet your needs since each helper will be different.

  We have a separate laneway with a place to park your home! There aren't any facilities near the camp spot (you'll have to share our space) but we're open to new builds like a composting toilet.
