Looking for some extra hands to help with maintenance of our farm buildings in Näsviken, Sweden

  We have an old farm from the 1600 until 1950 it was a large farm with 10 hectars of land belonging to it. Since my grandparents did buy it 1963 as split up farm today we have 1 hectar land around the houses belonging to the property. We grow up in Italy and every summer we did visit the grandparents so we have a strong feeling for this place.
  We decided to move from Italy to take over the smaller scale businnes that my aunt was running on the farm in order to be able to keep it in the family.
  Today we are running the place renting rooms to tourists and serving the best food from Italy in our restaurant, we use slow food, ecological and our own production of vegetables when availble in some periods of the year. We also offer sports activities as kajak paddling along the river flowing by giving the opportunity to discover the nearby lakes Dellen or downstream towards the sea. There is a lot of tracking routes around us. Wintertime there are great opportunities to make skiing both slalom and cross country skiing. During autumns and springs we often have amazing conditions for long distance ice skating on the sea or on the lakes in our area.
  We are located 12 km from Hudiksvall a smaller harbour city by the sea, we are well connected by bus to Hudiksvall from where it is easy to go by train or long distance bus to Stockholm and other cities.

  Arbeit

  The building of the farm has over 100 windows and many of them need to be scraped and repainted. The oldest building need carpenter work to be done in several points. During winter time there is a lot of snow shoveling work; spring, summer and autumn the grass need to be cut several times; there are trees and bushes that need to be trimmed; the woods need to be cut and stored in late spring for the coming winter heating of the houses. We need to clean up the old barn throwing a lot of old kitchen forniture, make a larger entrance to acces the barn from the side. This is just some of the things we need help with, but every day there is new things that need to be taken care of.

  Unterkunft

  Winter time room in the main house with one shared toilet, summer time the room is the charming oldest building in the farm and the toilet with shower is across the garden in the ground floor of the main house. The rooms are simple with electricity and with free wi fi connection.

  During time off, you cn visit the beautiful region of Hälsingland, visiting the other farms part Unesco world heritage sites, taking walks in the big forests close to us picking berries or mushrooms, sports activities as kajak paddling along the river flowing by giving the opportunity to discover the nearby lakes Dellen or downstream towards the sea.
