  Beschreibung

  I run a small homeschool group of tenth graders out of my home in Nosara Costa Rica. I am in search of a passionate teacher who understands the challenges and blessings of leading students this age.
  
  My ideal candidate is a level headed, healthy person who will appreciate the ideal schedule that compliments morning and/or evening yoga of surf sessions with weekends off.
  
  Nosara is a magical place with some of the best surfing beaches in the world. There are people from all over the world who call this place home alongside the lovely locals, the Costa Ricans, who maintain the magic by sharing their knowledge and wisdom. Yoga, tennis, futbol (soccer), BJJ, Capoeira, drum circles, salsa dancing are other popular activities.
  
  The position entails leading students through a very straightforward and organized Biology and Geometry curriculums in English. My students are all new additions to Costa Rica (immigrants), like myself. Classes are taught in English.
  
  You will meet many fabulous people here and have also a safe private place to live, and a bicycle and surfboard to use.
  
  Your schedule will be from 10am until 3pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and one Friday of each month. Marking and lesson prep can be done in your own schedule but is required weekly.
  
  You must commit to the entire semester:
  
  Monday April 6th 2026 - Friday June 26 2026
  
  Dates are flexible for arrival and departures outside of these windows! We will make it work if you need to arrive a bit earlier or leave later :)
  
  This is not a suitable arrangement for party people.

  Monday, Wednesday and sometimes Friday you will be having hilarious and unexpected exchanges with your students. They are a creative and interesting bunch. There are only 2 students. The class is small and manageable.

  Arbeit

  Teach 2 days a week
  I am looking for a knowledgeable Geometry and Biology educated being who will assist me in teaching my students. There are only 2 students and the environment is very relaxed and enjoyable. They are 10th graders.

  I like to practice French. I speak Spanish. Due to the nature of the position I require a helper work a solid grasp of English and some basics in Spanish.

  Unterkunft

  You will have a private apartment that has AC located 20 minutes flat bike ride from the beach. It is equipped with everything you need to live comfortably during your stay; a blender, stove, coffee maker and necessary utensils.
  
  You will have a bicycle and beginner surfboard.

  Was noch ...

  The pace of life that I have cultivated is slow and steady . Waking early to surf and sleeping early in preparation is the norm. Salsa dancing is fun and exciting but I don’t get carried away - after all we are teachers ie pillars of the community - this is not a good arrangement for party people!!
